SANDI PATTY Performs with USM Symphony Orchestra

With Christmas just around the corner, The University of Southern Mississippi Symphony Orchestra proudly plans to host Christian musical artist Sandi Patty in a holiday concert which is sure to jump-start everyone’s holiday festivities. The event will be held at Temple Baptist Church in Hattiesburg on December 2. “We have had many phone calls about the Sandi Patty concert from all over the area, including Alabama and Louisiana,” said Beverly Barton, music ministry assistant at Temple Baptist Church of Hattiesburg, the event partner. “Her music has touched so many lives for so many years. December 2 will be an extraordinary night,” said Barton. This event is part of Patty’s intimate 12 Days of Christmas Tour

which kicks off in Fort Lauderdale on Nov. 28th and runs through December 7th. The Gospel music legend is speading Christmas cheer by singing holiday classics from her critically acclaimed Christmas album Yuletide Joy, which includes famous carols “Oh Holy Night,” “Star of Bethlehem” and “Angels We Have Heard on High.” Patty is performing the Yuletide celebration in grand fashion accompanied by a local symphony in select cities on the tour. The University of Southern Mississippi Symphony Orcheestra is proud to be included in the tour. “The celebration of Christmas is the foundation on my faith,” says the singer. “Christmas is a celebration of family, life and love and the birth of Jesus. His birth meant freedom for the rest of us.”
