Wealth has its limitations...money can become a source of great temptation, and money has only temporal value. A truly wise person realizes that his true wealth is found in being a co-heir with Jesus Christ. This type of wealth will never perish, spoil, or fade. Those who are truly wise will find their wealth and inheritance in the riches of knowing Jesus.

God is Near Call To Worship: 2 Corinthians 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich. NASB

Prayer of Praise & Consecration: Garrett Lee Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing (Hymnal #98) Come, Thou Fount of every blessing, Tune my heart to sing Thy grace; Streams of mercy, never ceasing, Call for songs of loudest praise. Teach me some melodious sonnet, Sung by flaming tongues above. Praise the mount! I’m fixed upon it, Mount of Thy redeeming love. Here I raise my Ebenezer; Hither by Thy help I’m come; And I hope, by Thy good pleasure, Safely to arrive at home. Jesus sought me when a stranger, Wandering from the fold of God; He, to rescue me from danger, Interposed His precious blood. O to grace how great a debtor Daily I’m constrained to be! Let Thy grace, Lord, like a fetter, Bind my wan’dring heart to Thee. Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, Prone to leave the God I love; Here’s my heart, O take and seal it, Seal it for Thy courts above. Oh that day when freed from sinning,

I shall see Thy lovely face; Full arrayed in blood washed linen How I’ll sing Thy sovereign grace; Come, my Lord, no longer tarry, Bring Thy promises to pass For I know Thy pow’r will keep me Till I’m home with you at last. Words by Robert Robinson (1758); Music by John Wyeth (1713); Public Domain.

I will love Him, Adore Him; I will bow down Before Him.

(ladies) You are the Lord of lords, You are the King of kings, You are mighty God, Lord of everything. You’re Emmanuel, You’re the great I Am, You’re the Prince of Peace Who is the Lamb. You’re the living God, You’re my saving grace, You will reign forever. You’re the Ancient of Days, You are Alpha Omega, Beginning and End. You’re my Savior, Messiah, Redeemer, and Friend.

(all) You are my Prince of Peace, And I will live my life for You.

You Are My All In All (Hymnal #143) You are my strength when I am weak, You are the Treasure that I seek, You are my all in all. Seeking You as a precious Jewel, Lord, to give up, I’d be a fool. You are my all in all. Jesus, (precious) Lamb of God, Worthy is Your Name. Jesus, (precious) Lamb of God, Worthy is Your Name. Taking my sin, my cross, my shame, Rising again, I bless Your Name. You are my all in all. When I fall down You pick me up, When I am dry You fill my cup. You are my all in all. Words and music by Dennis Jernigan © 1991 Shepherds Heart Music CCLI #2928610.

Scripture Reading: Psalm 73 Come Ye Sinners, Poor and Needy (Hymnal #420) Come, ye sinners, poor and needy, Weak and wounded, sick and sore; Jesus ready stands to save you, Full of pity, love and pow’r. I will arise and go to Jesus, He will embrace me in His arms; In the arms of my dear Savior, Oh, there are ten thousand charms.

Come, ye thirsty, come, and welcome, God’s free bounty glorify; True belief and true repentance, Every grace that brings you nigh. Come, ye weary, heavy laden, Lost and ruined by the fall; If you tarry till you’re better, You will never come at all. Let not conscience make you linger, Not of fitness fondly dream; All the fitness He requireth Is to feel your need of Him. Words by Joseph Hart (1759); Music by William Walker. Public Domain.

Prayer of Petition: Jonathan Matías, Pastor Sermon–”A Biblical View of Money And Possessions” Jonathan Matías James 5:1-6 The Lord’s Table The Bread: Garrett Lee Prayer of Thanksgiving: Stephen Bean The Cup: Jonathan Matías Prayer of Thanksgiving: Peter Beninate Song of God’s Grace: How Deep the Father’s Love For Us (Hymnal #101) How deep the Father’s love for us, how vast beyond all measure, That he should give his only Son, to make a wretch his treasure. How great the pain of searing loss, the Father turned his face away, As wounds which mar the Chosen One bring many sons to glory. Behold the Man upon a cross, my sin upon his shoulders; Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice call out among the scoffers.

It was my sin that held him there until it was accomplished. His dying breath has brought me life; I know that it is finished. I will not boast in anything: no gifts, no power, no wisdom, But I will boast in Jesus Christ: his death and resurrection. Why should I gain from his reward? I cannot give an answer, But this I know with all my heart: his wounds have paid my ransom. Why should I gain from his reward? I cannot give an answer, But this I know with all my heart: his wounds have paid my ransom. Words and Music by Stuart Townsend (1995). Used by permission. CCLI #2928610.
