Sample Of A Generic Grant Abstract The Acme Youth Center Abstract (Project Summary) (one page) The purpose of the Acme Youth Center is to improve the education and behavior of youth in the Generic City area. Our focus is on education, with interaction focusing heavily on the Generic City College and the Generic City Police Force, along with other local community groups. Education services, including High School Equivalency, Sex Education, and Job Skills courses will be provided on a weekly basis by the Generic City College. Officers from the Generic City Police Department will hold monthly lectures regarding civic issues in a broad Outreach program. Social activities include meals, games with a game room, dances, and a Big Brother program in partnership with local schools. Combination social and health activities are support groups for those youth with emotional or mental issues such as family problems or substance abuse. The single point of entry provides youths with a simplified way to access all the various services for the young, both public and private, through a single location and with a single counselor/helper. Local youth will access the single point of entry system three ways. 1. Walk-in, counselor-aided assistance at the Acme Youth Center. 2. Walk-in, self-service assistance via computer at the Acme Youth Center. 3. Home visit by counselor. Improving the education and well-being of our community’s youth translates into financial savings for the city and substantial enhancement of the community’s overall economic development effort.
