General Insights on the 48 Hour Film School

1. It is for self-starter all-around marketer and promoter who do not have much staff to rely on. 2. It gives more emphasis on promotions rather than content. 3. In post-production side, it provides more suggestion on how market videos in social media.

Programs Suggested (Top 3) 1. VeeRoll 2. VideoMakerFX 3. Explaindio

Note: Except VeeRoll I know how to use VideomakerFX and Explaindio. I also have accounts on both. These programs are easy and for less experienced video persons who do not know After Effects.

Content Production 1. This one’s for Sir Samir on Herbalife and Wellness execise and dieting.

Social Media Videos 1. The course suggested multiple video versions: Full videos for youtube and Facebook while short videos for Twitter and Instagram. 2. 15 seconds video for short videos.

Shooting the Video

A. Pre production

A.1 Script – A good script should be written first before the actual shooting of the video A.2 Time of shooting A.3 Good Equipment – The course suggested that and iPhone would do just fine

B. Production Stage B.1 Prepare an Auto-prompter or idiot board – Write your script on a big piece of paper or wall behind the camera so you will not get lost in the middle of the speech. B.2 Take your time – I think the host suggested that taking time and not rushing would help in the final outcome of the video. B.3 Time Limit – This one’s optional, I guess we should make the videos shorter to keep the audience interested

C. Post-Production (Video Editing) C.1 Instructions C.2 Different versions for different social media Note: I guess we are doing just fine in editing area based on the course. Things like intro and outro has always been part of our videos. Maybe we need work on the call to action part.
