UL (Underwriters Laboratories) A non profit, privately owned and operated product safety testing and certification organization.

UL’s Listed mark Indicates that UL has determined that the product meets U. S. safety standards.

Products have been tested and found to comply with applicable Canadian safety standards.

Products determined to comply with both U. S. and Canadian standards.

UL’s Recognized Component and Classified mark Used on electrical components that will be used later in a completed product.

Indicates that the product has been tested with “a limited range of hazards or suitability of use under limited or special conditions”.

CSA (Canadian Standards Association) A leading solutions based standards organization, providing standards development, application products, training and advisory selected services.

CSA’s Certified Mark Indicates that the product meets applicable Canadian standards.

If products that have been found to comply with U.S. standards. *NRTL - “National Recognized Testing Laboratory”

If a product has been found to comply with both U.S. and Canadian standards,

ETL SEKMO A division of Intertek Group specializing in electrical product safety testing, EMC testing, and benchmark performance testing

ETL Listed Mark • has been tested by Intertek, found in compliance with accepted national standards, and meets the minimal requirements required for sale or distribution • assurance that the product is compliant with safety standards
