FibaRoll is an advanced form of Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP). It is widely used as structural and lining material as it does not corrode. There are two main elements to the FRP material, namely the resin and the reinforcement. The resin is a molecule which when cured by UV or sunlight, forms a complex cross-linked three-dimensional structure with very good structural strength. The reinforcement within the composite is usually glass fiber. The glass does not react and is specially coated to give good adhesion to the resin. The reinforcement basically adds structural support to hardened resins thus increasing the structural

Fibaroll cures pipes, pipe supports, tank walls and other areas that have severe pitting and need rebuilding or are in danger of developing leaks. It possesses a wide range of chemical resistance and can withstand high temperatures.

Complete Water Tight Sealed System Corrosion under insulation (CUI) causes a high proportion of unexpected shutdowns and catastrophic damage often accounting for over 10% of the total operating costs in a 25 year plant. CUI is caused by water entering the insulation as a result of inadequate cladding systems. The traditional metallic cladding systems let water enter between the seams and at terminations is rarely watertight because the sealants used do not last and are easily damaged when construction and plant personnel walk on the cladding. RUST FIBERWRAPP, a hand lay-up fiber glass lining system

RUST FIBERWRAPP offers a comprehensive range of innovative woven/non-woven solutions for the Composites (Fiber Reinforced Plastics) Technology applied for industry. RUST FIBERWRAPP hand lay-up applies is constructed with polyester or vinyl ester resin and reinforced layer that composed of chopped strand mat for the top corrosion layer resistant. In the laminate process can be cured with catalyst and promoter system. RUST FIBERWRAPP lining provides well protection against leak caused by corrosion & abrasive. Due to the high exposure to salty water and air, humid, harsh and volatile weather conditi on of providing superior offshor protection against e corrosion compared to the installa tion traditional methods and plant working environment, corrosion of industrial bolts

and nuts installed in offshore oil and gas structure and in petrochemical plants is inevitable. The corrosion will ultimately lead to fastener gasket sealing failure. When this occurs, leakage of hydrocarbon fluids and/or gases which the pipe structure delivers occurs. In severe cases, this results in major disaster as the hydrocarbon fluids and/or gases are flammable and

therefore could cause explosion. Furthermore, hydrocarbon gases may contain toxic which results in loss of human life or injury when inhaled by personnel working in the platform. Therefore, it is essential that corroded bolts and nuts be changed during maintenance schedule to avoid leakage or damage to equipment. Although the life of these nuts and bolts can be extended by protective coatings and paints, this is a difficult task due to the odd shapes of the nuts and bolts and their inaccessibility to inspection and service. Traditional coating products such as anticorrosive paints and red lead primers are environmentally harmful and thus, the removal and disposal of these products is a complex and expensive part of any maintenance project and requires specialist advice, equipment and procedures resulting in high costs. For health, environmental and safety reasons, the use of these products are being reduced gradually. Page 9

Another existing solution is the use of bolts and nuts with fluorocarbon coating. However, fluorocarbon coating is vulnerable to mechanical damage or rough handling which is difficult to avoid during the installation of the bolts and nuts which ultimately results in failure of the protective coating.

A total solution for rehabilitation of severely corroded risers and pipes To rehabilitate severely corroded risers and pipes, RUSTSHIELD have developed a composite leak pipe repair sleeve technique that incorporates the innovative combination of advanced composite material with high performance epoxy resin together with oversized steel sleeves and specially designed customized end seals, as a total solution for rehabilitation of severely corroded risers and pipes. The epoxy essentially consists of a load bearing epoxy resin filler mixed with load bearing polyamines. The physical properties allow its use in applications requiring high load bearing strength and excellent adhesion under adverse application conditions. The product has a long working life and a low exothermic reaction (i.e. minimal heat generation during cure) that make it suitable for applications where a relatively large mass of adhesive is employed. The benefit of this system, known as Composite Sleeve Repair Technology, is as follows: 

Overall cost effective compared to other atmospheric corrosion control products The Composite Pipe Leak Sleeve Repair system will result in lower total ownership cost for the operator in the long term due to less frequent inspection and lower maintenance and repair costs and the ability to avoid shutdown compared to other systems. Modern coatings rarely fail except where mechanical damage has occurred. Pipe support areas are the most common to exhibit early coating failure. Any inspection of an established plant or pipeline will show corrosion in the pipe support areas. The coating is damaged by abrasion between the pipe and its support caused by movement of the pipe during operation. Rainwater readily collects in this area to act as the electrolyte. Failure to effectively isolate the pipe from its support, with a material with strength and toughness, will lead to corrosion and compromise the whole coating system.
