Solar PV Lanterns Solar Photovoltaic Lanterns, the most popular solar lighting device, The Solar lantern is as per MNES specification, which is fitted with a 7W CFL and 10W SPV module.
Solar PV Home lighting system
For countries like India where a large part of the population lives in rural area, where grid supply is not available, the SPV powered domestic light system is an ideal solution. It is especially useful for out-of-the holiday locations.

Shallow water pumping system will be installed as a demonstration Consists of 900 & 1800 w PV modules.1 & 2 hp dc pump and support structure Pump can discharge water to the overhead tank MNES subsidy and IREDA lone available
DUTY CYCLE:
The solar PV water pumping system should provide a minimum of 77 liters of water per watt of PV array used per day under average daily solar radiation conditions of 5.5 KWh/sq.m. on a horizontal surface, from a total head of 10 meters ( Suction head up to a maximum of 7 meters). In case of deep well submersible pumps, the water requirement should be a minimum of 25 liters of water per watt of PV array capacity used per day from a total depth of 30 meters. Use of a tracking system to enhance the availability of solar radiation to lift desired quantity of water is permitted. The quantity of water pumped may vary depending on the location, season, etc.
Eligible Criteria
Individual, farmers, NGO’S, Educational institute, Cooperative societies, Corporate bodies, Autonomous bodies, Research organization, Banks, State/Central Govt. agencies, Ashram, Temples, Churches or Mosques Should use for agriculture or for community drinking water scheme only
SOLAR PV POWER PLANT A Clean, silent and ecofriendly source of power. Solar modules convert sunlight into electricity and store in batteries Negligible maintenance as there are no moving parts. Simple to install, can be mounted on ground or roof top. Investment in solar power is eligible for 80 % depreciation.

STATUS OF VILLAGE ELECTRIFICATION
ELECTRIFIED VILLAGE As per MSEB records, Maharashtra has about 310 remote and un-electrified villages due to various problems like, forest clearance, Non potential & merge population, etc. These villages will not be electrified through conventional mode till 2012 .
Policy of implementation
All unelectrified remote census villages and unelectrified hamlets of electrified census villages are covered under this programme Certificate from MSEB, stating that these village/ hamlet are not electrified and will not be electrified through conventional mode till 2012. Central Financial Assistance from GOI upto 90% of cost of the projects is available under this programme. Balance 10% cost of projects can be financed through PMGY , MNP , MPLAD , Ministry of tribal affairs programmes.
