Lama Khemsar Rinpoche

Will be in Avebury, Wiltshire from Tuesday 18th - Monday 24th August 2009 for a week of Teachings, Public Talks and Private One to One Consultations Lama Khemsar Rinpoche is the founder and spiritual director of the Tibetan Yungdrung Bön Study Centre. The Lama is an eminent teacher of the Yungdrung Bön spiritual tradition and is renowned for his lively teaching style and sparkling wit. He origina"y hails #om south Tibet, where he and his elder brother Lama Sonam G. Khemsar are the lineage holders of their two monasteries – Pungmo Gon and Lhari Nyiphug - both of which were founded by Master Zhu Namgyal Drakpa.

The Yungdrung Bön Tradition Yungdrung Bön, meaning ‘Eternal Light’ or ‘Enlightened Teaching’, is the original and authentic spiritual tradition of Tibet. It is based on the principle of practicing unconditional love and compassion towards a" and is Thegpa Chenpo or Mahayana in its approach. Many of the teachings are similar to those found in the four principal schools of Buddhism, especia"y the Nyingma-pa school, and are aimed at enabling a" to access Enlightenment and #eedom #om the shackles of Samsara.

Two-Day Teaching (10am - 6pm) Phowa (Transference of Consciousness) LOCATION: The National Trust Study Centre, Avebury Phowa, practice is taught for the liberation of a" sentient beings towards enlightenment. This sophisticated technique of Phowa exercise ensures one with delivering one’s consciousness at the time of death through the right path of Enlightenment as we" as rejuvenates & prolongs one’s life while living. Such a wisdom knowledge is a practical application of the Tibetan book of living & dying! This is a very rare opportunity not to be missed. Fee £110.00

NOTE: To be able to attend the one-day Zhiney and two-day Phowa teaching, it is essential that one must first must receive Dzogchen Ngondro (Foundation teaching). Without receiving the foundation teaching you wi" not be a"owed to attend.  This can be received by booking a two-hour 1 to 1 with the Lama. Fee £110.00

Monday 24th August Private One-to-One (10am - 4pm) Spiritual Consultations & Holistic Healing

LOCATION: 3&4 Overton Cottages, East Kennett Fee £55.00 (consultations are one hour unless stated otherwise). PLEASE NOTE: For the Teachings, Tea & Soft Drinks will be provided but you will need to either bring a packed lunch or you can buy lunch at The National Trust Circle Cafe next door to the Study Centre.
