1. Cut an 18” x 20” rectangle 2. Cut 2, 4” x 18” rectangles for the straps

3. Fold each strap in half length wise, pin, and sew.

4. Turn right side out, and iron seam to the middle

5. Pin the ends of each strap an equal distance apart to the top of the bag

6. Fold top edge over ½”, press.

7. Fold edge over again 2”, press, pin, and sew ¼ seam allowence

8. Reenforce straps by sewing a square and “x” (optional) over the base of each strap

9. Fold in half, pin, and sew ¼” seam allowance.

10. Iron a crease in the bottom of the bag.

11. Pull out corner and match side seam with the bottom crease made in step 10.

12. Use a dressmaking marker or pencil to draw a 6” line. To make sure your line is equal on both sides match the 3” mark with the seam.

13. Pin, and sew.

Your bag should look like this when turned inside out!

14. Now top stitch all 8 sides of the bag to give it structure. This step is optional but it gives the bag a good form.
