Ltd., Sharjah as Piping & Proposal Engineer Job Role  Preparing Technical Document Register (TDR), identifying requirements and scope of work.  Reviewing / analysing specifications, Process Data Sheets (PDS), Piping Material Specifications (PMS), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s), Plot Plans, General Arrangement (GA) Drawings, Philosophies, Area Classification Drawings, Fire and Gas Detector Layout Drawings and other relevant documents.  Reviewing the ITB (Invitation to Bid) submitted in the proposals stage, issuing inquiry requisitions, analysing technocommercial vendor offers, preparing equipment / material / man-hour estimates.

 Identifying and resolving discrepancies / divergences (if any) from original proposal through the technical queries to

projects/client.  Creating manpower charts for task assignments, establishing target completion dates, and ensuring target dates are   

achieved. Recommending cost effective measures to reduce overall package costs. Supervising the preparation of modeling works in PDS, ensuring that isometrics are updated as required. Notable Highlights  Instrumental in the setup of Microsoft Access Package to reduce the time taken for bill generation (Bill-4,Bill-8 & Bill-9). Jun’05-Apr’08 with Bechtel India Pvt. Ltd., Gurgaon as Piping Engineer Job Role  Working as Responsible Engineer (R.E for Piping & Layout) for Compressed Air system (Instrument Air & Service Air) and Hydronic System.  Designing and sketch generation for both Critical & Non-Critical System (for small bore and large bore below 10” pipe size).  Coordinating with the Civil Department for location of piles/foundation required for pipe support.  Accountable for spring calculation required for support design as the stress report suggests. Critical System - small bore and large bore (below 10”), support is designed based on report generated after stress analysis.  Studying the required piping system for its optimized Plant Layout and Pipe Routing.  Routing (Modeling) of pipe using modeling software with high accuracy and precision using codes, standards, and Engineering Design guides.  Modeling of support after selection of appropriate relevant support from support standard after checking it from support catalogue.  Isometric drawing is extracted for fabrication and installation of pipe along with the sketches.
