DST Travel Grants Application : ELIGIBILITY a) Indian Scientists working in Educational/Academic Institutions and Research Laboratories are eligible for travel support to participate in conferences etc. on selective basis. b) The applicant has an accepted paper for presentation or an invitation to chair a session or as a Keynote speaker. Young Scientists (below 35 years of age) are eligible to apply for attending training programmes/Short-term courses/schools. c) The application has NOT availed of financial assistance from DST in the last three years. d) The conference/training course is of an International character. (Applications to attend annual meetings of professional societies will not be considered). e) The application is complete in all respects forwarded through proper channel and received 8 weeks prior to date of conference. f) For 100% support, the following additional conditions are required: i) Outstanding scientists who have been invited for a special keynote address, invited lecture etc. ii) Young Scientists who have an accepted single authored paper or is the first author of the paper and invited for oral presentation. iii) Brilliant Young Scientists who have been accepted for attending training courses/programmes/schools.

CSIR Travel Grants Application : • His/her age should not normally be above 40 years on the date of commencement of the conference. • His/her paper should have been accepted for presentation. A copy of the full paper along with an abstract and letter of acceptance from the • Organizer must be appended with this application. • The theme of the conference should invariably be related to the thrust areas/activities of the CSIR laboratories. • No two proposals from the same institute, even for different conferences, may be considered at a given time. • Only those scholars, not employed on regular basis, and not receiving travel support in the previous three years are eligible for consideration. • Scholars who do not have published papers in refereed journals may not be considered. • Between two competing proposals, preference may be given to the younger scientist. • Incomplete applications and those not received two months before the event will not be considered. • A copy of air India memo indicating excursion air fare must accompany the form. • The scholar sanctioned a travel grant from CSIR is required to give a report enclosing a copy of the abstract, book etc. Containing his/her papers • Received at the conference/symposium, within 15 days of his/her return.

AICTE Travel Grants Application :

1. The proposals should reach the Council four months prior to the dates of Conference. 2. The grants shall be utilized to meet the travel expenses and perdiem (Days of conference + Two more days for Journey) allowance to attend the International Seminar/Conference/Symposium/Workshop abroad. 3. The grant shall not be utilised for attending any course/training/research (long term/short term) programme. 4. The sanctions once made to attend a specific conference, can not in any case, be utilized for the purposes of Travel abroad to attend any other Conferences. 5. Applicants are required to apply only in the application format provided in this brochure. 6. Incomplete applications shall not be entertained. 7. Applications should accompany a copy of seminar announcement, letter of confirmation for paper presentation/chairing the session/keynote address/ any other.

AR & DB Travel Grants Application :

1. Aeronautics R&D Board will receive proposals for Grants-in-aid for partially (fully in exceptional cases) meeting the most of deputation of aeronautical scientists abroad for presenting papers in International symposia and for visit to advanced Aeronautical R&D facilities. The proposal in this regard will be submitted by the institution concerned in 20 copies to AR&DB Sectt at least 3 months in advance. Alternatively, 2 copies of the proposal along with the recommendations of the concerned AR&DB panel should be submitted, 45 days in advance. 2. In case the proposal for deputation abroad is related to AR&DB supported activity the deputation would be approved by Chairman AR&DB based on the recommendation of panel & Secy. AR&DB in consultation with Integrated Finance and financial sanction intimated by Secy. AR&DB/O i/c AR&DB 3. In case the proposed deputation is not related to any AR&DB supported project but has importance / relevance to the field of Aeronautics, the proposal would be submitted to Chairman AR&DB, on a case by case basis, through Integrated Finance, as at present; and the financial sanction intimated by Secy. AR&DB /O i/c AR&DB.

UGC Travel Grants Application : Nature of Assistance Available Under the Scheme The financial assistance for permanent teachers of colleges enlisted in 2 (f) and 12 B of the UGC Act will be limited to 50% of the total admissible expenditure such as travel, registration fee, per diem allowance and visa fee, once in three years. For Commission members and Vice-Chancellors of Universities enlisted in 2(f) and 12 B of the UGC Act, the assistance will be 100% on admissible expenditure once in three years. Procedure for Release of Grant 1.A statement of account giving details of expenditure incurred on various items viz, travel, air port tax, registration fee, visa fee and daily allowance. 2.A utilization certificate in the prescribed format from the college/university auditor/chartered accountant for the total expenditure incurred on the visit. 3.The details of assistance received or facilities provided by the organisers of the conference or any other similar Indian/foreign agency. 4.The amount made available by the College/University/State Government and other sources. 5.The amount payable for each item by the UGC as per the terms and conditions. 6.A brief note on the participation in the conference. 7.Certificate of participation in the conference. 8.Conversion rate of the US dollar into Indian currency. (From any bank or other financial institution)
