Report on the use of Library and IMS Resources and Services

I use library at times (I only use it during my subject-Filipino time), during Mondays of the Month (except second week of the Month) to assist and guide my students (grade two students) in their library period wherein they can read books as leisure and at the same time as their silent reading activity. During our library period, I took the opportunity to look for stories that will serve as a tool to share with my class whenever we have new lessons and to read newspapers for self-awareness and to use it as my background knowledge in current events that I can use for teaching. My students have limited resources (story books) and have limited time to read because borrowed books are not allowed to bring at home. When it comes to instructional materials, I do not borrow any materials in the Audio-Visual Room, instead I prefer to provide my own design and adapt it from other resources like internet and find different activities that can be done in the classroom. We use technology inside the classroom like television as means of being a 21st Century teachers. It is very useful because it catches the attention and interest of the students and it will be easy for the teachers to show visible things or places that is impossible to bring in school like forest, beach etc. It help us to be more creative (in using power point or other applications). Another factor is that, it is not time consuming because some of the resources are downloadable (Aral Links technology) provided by our school.
