Stage 2 – Assessment Evidence

On the first day of the unit we will go over some concepts that they should already know. I will see what they remember from junior high and past units. I will go over some review if they need it. Quizzes, Tests, Assignments

Performance Tasks, Projects

There will be an assignment for every topic. However, this will be the responsibility of the students to complete. They will be given some class time, but some will have to be completed at home. There is one domain and range function that will be due. We will mark is as a class and I will take the marks in for summative assessment. There will be one quiz about halfway through. This will test the first half of the material and will be taken for summative assessment. There will be on final test. This will test all of the material we went over. Other Evidence (observations, work samples, dialogues)

Student self-assessment

We will do lots of examples in class that the students will do on their own and then we will take it up as a class. This will help me see what they understand.

Students will be self-assessing while they do their assignments.

Domain and range worksheet

They will complete a small booklet with domain and range questions that have order of pairs, graphs, and table of values to find the domain and range of. We will mark as a class.
