Reflective writing No 1: The school.

During the time I have been in my Vise II teaching practise, I have seen many factors that, in my opinion, affect the students’ performance. Thinking about the school environment and the school rules I could determine that they are directly involved with the students’ learning process. One of those factors is that there is not discrimination with the students that are allowed to attended school. I do not mean that they should choose whoever they want; I just mean that there must be some regulations to organize the quality of students, because if there is not we as teachers can not improve the behavior of our students. An example of that is one of the course I am doing my Vise in. The second week I was in that course there was accepted one new student, I thought it was an unusual event so I asked the teacher about it, and she said to me that it always happens there, one week ago appeared another student, and I realized that the teacher was right, in my opinion the fact of incorporating students is not totally wrong, what I think is wrong is that they incorporate any student, both of the new students were rejected from other schools, because of their bad behavior, if you take into account the fact that in every classroom are some conflictive students, you can find the way to control it, but if every week is another new student in the class that process turns almost impossible. The only way to improve it I found was a regulation to select the students, the school has to considerate the kind of students they can attend and the teachers have to be capacitated to deal with that kind of students. It is very important because if the teachers are not completely capacitated the problem can be worse, the students will take the control of the classroom and the teacher will not know what to do.
