BUILDING THIS IS AT YOUR OWN RISK, LiIon batteries are very dangerous, if punctured, you run the risk of exposing yourself to pure lithium ions which are VERY hazardous. MSDS for Li-Ion batteries: http://www.saftbatteries.com/130-Catalogue/PDF/msds_psds_liion_en.pdf that being said, here’s how to build the battery pack: First, the part list: 1.)Multi-Level Universal Smart Charger (0.5A) for 3.7 -14.8 V Li-Ion battery Pack (1-4 cell Pack )<- This charger will take roughly 4.5 Hours to charge the battery when completely empty 2.)Connector: for 9 Volt Block Battery with 10" Wire Leads 3.)Li-Ion 18500 Cylindrical Cell 3.6V 1400mAh (18mm D x 50mm H) x 3 <- Make sure you get the ones with the tabs attached, makes things much easier! 4.)Protection circuit Module ( PCB ) for 11.1V (10.8V) Li-Ion Battery Pack ( 3 cells Pks/ 6.25A limit ) 5.)PVC: 2.5 inch (64mm) Width Shrink Wrap for DIY Battery Pack <- you can get wider to fit the assembly in widthwise, this is big enough to fit it in lengthwise. 6.)Connector: A Pair of BEC male/female connectors for Micro HPI Battery Packs Everything on the list is 1 pc except that you need 3 of the Li-Ion batteries. Now, some tools: 1.)Soldering Iron (15-30Watt, the higher the better) 2.)Wire cutters/strippers 3.)Wire 4.)Good quality solder, standard rosin core does just fine. 5.)Hair Drier 6.)Small Phillips head screwdriver for taking apart hopper 7.)Dremmel with cutting wheel Here is a few pictures of all the parts you will need (I threw in the battery for size comparison).
These batteries are a little bigger than standard AA, but they are the same length. First, start out with the PCB, Attach the battery snap and male BEC connector to the P+(red) and P-(black)
The next steps are going to be connecting the batteries. Here is a diagram of how they should be connected:

NOTE: B3- is not used. Move the battery on the side ontop of the PCB, and the two on the top and bottom beneath. Stuff the entire assembly into the PVC shrink wrap lengthwise (Unless you ordered the bigger width.) Once that is done, take the hair drier and heat the PVC to make it shrink around the batteries. Then connect the alligator clips on the charger to the battery snap to verify that it is charging. NOTE: Make sure the charger is set to 12.6V like this:
NOTE: once the battery is soldered together, it is necessary to charge the battery pack to "boot up" the PCB. Now, to fit the battery pack into the hopper, you will need to take it apart slightly, as it is wider than the 6AA pack you are used to using. It WILL fit into the area just under the paintballs on a Halo B, not sure on the reloader. There is no need for foam, because the screws will hold it in place. Now, using the dremmel, cut into the battery door a hole for the male BEC connector and super glue it in place. Here is what it should look like when you are all done:
