2009 New Construction Rebates PROPOSED (Effective 1-1-2009) Rebates are paid on homes that meet or exceed national, state and local building and energy codes. Any variance of the guidelines from these codes should be brought to the attention of Diverse Power. It is the responsibility of the builder/homeowner to interpret the code for the county in which the home is being built. Air Source Heat Pump $300 $100/System TSE HOME $400/SYSTEM This rebate amount is per system, and can be combined with rebates for other systems installed, such as dual fuel heat pumps, geothermal heat pumps, electric water heaters and/or waste heat recovery systems. An electric water heater is required in any new home for it to be eligible for heat pump rebates. Dual Fuel Heat Pump $500 $100/System TSE HOME $300/SYSTEM This rebate amount is per system, and can be combined with rebates for other systems, such as a waste heat recovery system. An electric water heater is not required. Geothermal Heat Pump $250 $350/Ton TSE HOME $500/TON This rebate amount is per ton, and can be combined with rebates for other systems installed, such as an allelectric heat pump or waste heat recovery system. The unit must be installed by a certified contractor. An electric water heater is required. Waste Heat Recovery $500 $300/House TSE HOME $500/HOUSE This rebate is limited to only one per household, even if there are multiple units installed. This rebate can be combined with rebates for other systems installed, such as an electric heat pump, dual fuel or geothermal system. The unit must be installed by a certified contractor. An electric water heater is required. Electric Water Heater $175 $100/Unit TSE HOME $200/UNIT Electric water heater must be at least 40-gallon or higher capacity and have dual heating elements. Electric Water Heater $ 75 $50/Unit TSE HOME Electric water heater has a 30-gallon capacity and has dual heating elements.

Notes: 1. Underground electric service is available to all new consumers at a cost to be determined. 2.

Rebate request must be submitted for houses that have been complete for no more than three months; this means that the house has gone from temporary power to permanent power and all HVAC and water-heating equipment is installed in its final condition. If a house has been complete for more than three months, it will not be eligible for rebates. Rebates must be applied for – they are not automatically paid.

Rebates are paid directly to the builder of the home unless otherwise agreed upon by the builder and homeowner.

Tankless water heaters are not eligible for rebate.

If subcontractor invoices are used as proof of purchase, they must include equipment information as provided on this form and they must be for complete jobs. Partial invoices, such as “rough-ins” and “job-completion”, will not be accepted unless they are accompanied by other invoices indicating complete work of that particular trade. All rebate requests must be submitted for homes completed for no more than 3 months (home that has gone from temporary to permanent power and HVAC and water heating equipment is installed in its final condition).
