Conservation Cash Rebate Programs

Now it’s easier than ever to save energy and lower your energy bills. Just sign up for one of our energy conservation cash rebate programs! Appliance Program Energy Star Clothes Washers, Dishwashers and Refrigerators qualify for a $100 rebate each.

Building Efficiency Program Building Envelope Air Leakage Test qualifies for $75/building tested Building Envelope Air Leakage Mitigation qualifies for $250 rebate, up to 50% of project cost Central Air Distribution Leakage Test qualifies for $75/building tested Central Air Distribution Air Leakage Mitigation qualifies for $250 rebate, up to 50% of project cost



Lighting Program



Residential- $2/bulb rebate for replacing incandescent light bulbs with fluorescent light bulbs; not to exceed total bulb purchase price. Maximum incentive is $50 for multi family and $100 for single family. Commercial- TDPUD pay’s 1/3 project cost for high energy efficiency lighting retrofits; TDPUD’s share not to exceed $10,000.

Space Heating Program Ground Source Heat Pumps- $200/ton for CA manufacturer approved electric GSHPs.

Water Heating Program High Efficiency electric Water Heaters- TDPUD pays $2/gallon for new, qualifying electric water heaters. Water heaters 60 gallons or greater must have an Energy Factor of .91 or 91% or higher. Water heaters 59 gallons or less must have an Energy Factor of .93 or 93% or higher.

You must be a District electric customer. Water only District customers may qualify for a clothes washer rebate Have purchased and installed the equipment in your business or residence after May 16, 2007. Complete and submit a conservation cash rebate program application to the District with proof of purchase. Allow an inspection of your equipment and/or measures by an authorized District representative.
