Hey, Terri and Shing Yee... hopefully these will help you. Last year Prof Brabec did not ask us for insertion and origin... innervation may be important though. I hope I have included all the muscles in the notes. I can't guarantee that they are 100% correct, but I translated them all from the Zaklady Anatomie book and used them all year last year, so do tell me if there are errors in those notes. You should definitely know the origins, insertions, nerves and functions of several very important muscles though... maybe it would be a better idea if you emailed and asked Prof Sedmera what you should remember for the test. :) I don't think you have to remember the origins and insertions for muscles like iliocostalis, longissimus and spinalis, (because they're all too close together to distinguish between them anyway) though I'm not sure what Prof Sedmera expects from you. I did not include the diaphragm in situ in my notes... perhaps you might be asked to draw only the cross section... take note which opening is for what... innervation is very important: PHRENIC NERVE!!! Remember diaPHRagm --> PHRenic nerve. Remember to check the pictures in Zaklady Anatomie... also, you might be ask about the inguinal canal... but I'm not sure, it might be for another test, can't remember exactly... the professors love it over here... so i have also scanned my drawing schemes. Most are in Zaklady Anatomie I. Netter's has very nice pictures about the inguinal canal. Well, I hope you will find these useful. All the best, and may God bless you in the coming test.
