There are mainly four users involved in this application; those are administrator (client), subscriber, dealer or sales man & customer care. The subscriber can directly purchase the packages which consist of channels & equipments like STB, LNB & smart card from the company, dealer or salesman. This application gives the discount to the subscriber depending on the promotion code (i.e. includes start & end date of discount applicable). This application maintains the stock details of the equipments, smart cards in inventory module & suppliers details those who are supplying the equipments to SMS. SMS application mainly maintains revenue information of the organization. Project : Pacific Link Property Services Apr ’05 To Nov ‘05 Client : Pacific Link Property Services Role : Team Member Period : Eight months Team Size : Five Testing : Manual with Test Director 8.0 Environment : VB.NET, SQL Server 2000, Windows 2000 Description: Pacific Link offers painting services to its clients. In this process, Pacific Link undertakes major contracts of painting apartments, Industrial Units, Commercial Places etc., and Sub contracts them to others. Normally these subcontractors are small painters who will do the job onsite. The below activities are normally carried out by Pacific Link’s supervisor to ensure all the subcontractors does their job right with complete quality and on specified schedule. Pacific Link supervisor would always check the quality of the work being done by the painters at site. After painter finishes the job, supervisor would visit the site and pens down the snag list (defect list) for every unit of work. The defects are categorized room wise (like corridor / living room / bedroom / kitchen / bathroom / verandah / garage etc). This report of snag list (defect list) would be passed on to the painter to redo the job and the supervisor for rechecking during his next visit. This cycle goes on until the defects are not found and the job is ready to be signed off.
