He has great love for music of the Sub-Continent. He says he likes Farida Khanum, Ghulam Ali, Noor Jehan, Lata Mangeshkir and Muhammad Rafi plus in classical music he likes Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali and Ustad Barkat Ali Khan. He says music is the best source to spread peace and love to Mankind. He comes from a great family of RAJPUTS born in Lahore Pakistan. He had his early schooling in two major cities Islamabad (Capital of Pakistan) and Faisalabad (The Manchester of Pakistan). Then he moved with his family to Jhang (Punjab) the land of Heer Ranjha. His father namely Ahmed Ali Khan Rana was designated at key post the Deputy Director in ZTBL (ZARAI TARAQIATI BANK LTD). He had his Bachelors in Commerce from University Of Faisalabad Pakistan. He says as he was growing he has great senesce of beauty. He believes in the true colours of life he sees world in a very artistic way. He is the founder and the Vice President of the Bade Ghulam Ali Memorial Society in Lahore Pakistan; he has done lots of music concerts all over the country along with Naqi Ali Khan who is the versatile singer and the Grandson of Mastero and the Legend Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan He is a very kind hearted person likes to help the mankind and being the Vice President of Bade Ghulam Ali khan Memorial Society he is promoting music as well working for the humanity. Art is the only true reflection of a society, his ideologies and his beliefs. When we organized the first Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Music Conference in 2006, we wanted the classical and light classical vocal music scene to serve as cultural barometer for the visiting delegates showing them the vibrant and artistically rich face of our country often ignored by the international media. With the successful completion of that music conference we knew we had established a vital platform for cultural exchange, but little did we imagine the music conference would grow in such leaps and bounds and three years later become the biggest show case of the performing arts in Pakistan. Festivals particularly those with the cosmopolitan outlook such as the Bade Ghulam Ali Khan music festivals are vital for the development of society. They open people’s minds to the importance of the arts and expose the general population to performances they would otherwise not be able to reach. In an artificially insular country like Pakistan where few people have access to local creative output, Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Memorial Society provides a window to the world of music and an opportunity for our people to be inspired by a multitude of cultural influences from outside For More Info E-MAIL [email protected] URL: www.bgakmemorialsociety.com
