Raising Student Voices

I’m supporting this team because it is led by people who have the energy and enthusiasm needed to deliver change. Together we can help improve the lives of students whilst at University.

The movement for gender equality is about creating accessible, open and diverse social institutions. The greatest harms of gender inequality are evident in women’s lives, but gender prejudices oppress both men and women. I want to continue providing safe discussion spaces for women, as well as facilitating discussion among a wider range of people, including men. We cannot create a real social movement without widespread awareness.

I pledge to:

sexual healthcare, through College Investigate exclusive practices in Common Nurses and Common Room provision. Room and student society politics; improve female political representation both through encouraging women in public I organise people, facilitate group speaking and in improving the hustings discussion, and represent others: environment; work together with student societies to promote a code of open Balliol Affiliations Officer to OUSU for the last three terms, handling referenda conduct in political meetings.

My Experience

Press investigation into the discrepancy between men’s and women’s finals results, and tackle the root causes of academic disadvantage. When Oxford consistently tops the UK with its Finals Gap, something is wrong with our educational system. Secure unprejudiced, non-judgmental
