ACADEMIC PROJECT: Title : “Design of Air-Cooled Heat Exchangers in Power plants” Place : BHEL, Hyderabad Summary : The methodology used in the thermal design is presented. The thermal Design involves the manual calculations of heat transfer coefficients on tube side and air side and air side pressure drops and finding the standard length of the tube. Those results are compared with HTRI software developed by the Heat Transfer Research Institute .The overall cost of air cooled heat exchanger is calculated.
