AP CM died in an Air Crash Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy has died in a helicopter crash on September 02, 2009. The 60-year-old Congress leader was on his way to Chittoor to attend a series of functions that include a wedding. Bad weather is thought to have caused the crash. The Bell 430 helicopter went of the radar near the Kurnool town triggering a massive hunt for the where abouts of the Chief Minister, crew and craft. Indian Airforce team found the mangled helicopter on the hillock after hours of search and rescue mission. Bodies of the Chief Minister YSR as he was popularly called, Special Secretary P Subramanyam, chief security officer A S C Wesley, pilot Group Captain S K Bhatia and co-pilot M S Reddy were found on a hillock in the dereaded Nallamala reserve forest. Yeduguri Sandinti Rajasekhara Reddy was born in Pulivendula of Kadapa District on 8 July 1949. He was elected to state legislature all five times he contested. He took over as Cheif minister of Andhra Pradesh state in 2004 and was reelcted in 2009 for another fiveyear-term. He was successful in stifling

NAMIBIA

Namibian President, Hifikepunye Pohamba, five-day visit to India strengthened the ties between the two countries. The two nations signed a memorandum of understanding that deals with Indian investment in the rich mining sector of Namibia giving India much needed access to lucrative Uranium mines of Namibia. India’s pariah status ended after it signed

historic nuclear deal with US. The trip will enhance the current defence cooperation between the two countries. Indian Air Force has a presence in Namibia and is training Namibian Air Force. Namibia has also placed order with HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited) for supplying Chetak and Cheetah helicopters
