Recognising the Quadratic Equations
Quadratic Equations A quadratic Equation is an equation in which the highest power Of the variable in any term is two.
General Form of Quadratic Equation is ax²+bx+c=0 ( x is a variable , a,b and c are real number and a = 0
If an expression given, can you recognise whether it is a Quadratic Equation or not ?
Equation in the form of ax²+bx+c=0 and give the value of a, b and c 1. 3x(x+1)=1
3x²+3x=1 3x²+3x-1=0
2. x²=3x-7 x²-3x+7=0
General Form of Quadratic Equation where a=3, b= 3 and c=-1.
General Form of Quadratic Equation where a=1, b= -3 and c=7.
3. (x-3)(2x+5)=0 2x²+5x-6x-15=0 2x²-x-15=0
4. x(x-8)=-16 x²-8x+16=0
General Form of Quadratic Equation where a=2, b= -1 and c=-15
General Form of Quadratic Equation where a=1, b= -8 and c=16
