SUE KINDER WOOD COUNTY RECORDER
PRESS RELEASE
Sue Kinder, Wood County Recorder, has released a report covering transactions of the recorder's office for the third quarter, July thru September 2006. 1,13 1 deeds were recorded for this period in comparison to 1353 deeds being recorded for the same period last year. 2,203 mortgages with a valuation of $522,958,588.85 were recorded for this period in comparison to 2737 mortgages with a valuation of $ 2,531,155,107.18 being recorded for the same period last year. There were 2 plats recorded this quarter for a total of32 lots, compared to 8 plats with a total of 174 lots being recorded for the same period last year. There were no condominiums recorded for the third quarter, compared to 2 condominiums with a total of 1 unit being recorded for the same period last year. Numerous other documents were recorded in addition to the above for a total of 6840 documents being recorded for this quarter in comparison to 7804 documents being recorded for the same period in 2005. Sue Kinder, Wood County Recorder, paid into the county $ 356,851.63 for the third quarter of 2006, compared to 422,988.50 being paid into the county for the same period in 2005. As the result of House Bill 95 effective August 1,2003 which was the state of Ohio budget bill which doubled the recorders fees throughout the state of Ohio, and designated the increase for the benefit of the Housing Trust Fund, $ 176,371.50 has also been collected by the Wood County Recorder's Office for the third quarter of2006 and paid to the Treasurer of the State of Ohio for the Housing Trust Fund, less one percent paid into the county general fund.
