Pursuing a career in Research Brijesh Singh Yadav (SRA,URC,Allahabad) E.Mail: [email protected] I am science student about my entire study carrier, Life science process always attracted me so I always want to be a become good biologist in my life carrier. Biologists learn how living things work, how they interact with one another, and how they evolve. They may study cells under a microscope, insects in a rainforest, viruses that affect human beings, plants in a greenhouse, or lions in the African grasslands, Bengal tiger. Their work increases our understanding about the natural world in which we live and helps us address issues of personal well being and worldwide concern, such as environmental depletion, threats to human health, and maintaining viable and abundant food supplies. To achieve my goal I take Biological Science at Intermediate and Graduation level course. In earlier days in my pervious classes, I always think how various microorganisms like Viruses, bacteria and others are interact to human body and causing many types of disease, after completed my higher education I well understand about these things. I have done M.Sc. in Bioinformatics where I detailed study about how bioinformatics increase our understanding of biological process. Bioinformatics is totally applied in the creation and maintenance of a database to store biological information at the beginning of “genomic revolution”,

sequences.

Development of this type of database involved not only design issue but the development of complex interfaces whereby researcher could both access exiting data as well as submit new or revised data. In order to study how normal cellular activities are altered in different disease states, the biological data must be combined to form a comprehensive picture of these activities. Therefore, the field of bioinformatics has evolved such that most task now involve the analysis and interpretation of various types of data, including nucleotide and amino acid sequences, protein domain and protein structures. Overall

macromolecule, their structural and functional properties, designing of protein on evolutionary basis, how we can go from genome to drug with help of bioinformatics software and databases. In this subject I also learn about ligand designing and active site structure prediction method. We can say that bioinformatics is subject for researchers. I have also done 6th month research oriented project on the topic”Prediction of catalytic residue of protein using Artificial Neural Networking” at Indian Institute of Information technology, Allahabad. Presently I am working as Senior Research Associate at United Research Center, Allahabad; Dr. K.P. Mishra (Ex. Head BARC) is Director of my research center. Here we are involved in development of natural anticancer drug.

So most of my studies and works are related to research field. I am interested only in research field because I want to do something new in field of life science.
