Project: LEGARD The truth of the gate:
Enter Dragon Part II Mr. Zealot rushed as fast as he could. Moment by moment Dragon underneath his thick blankets could smell Mr. Zealot's scent getting stronger and stronger. His fear also began to rise. He started to get worried over Mr. Ford. He knew that as long as Mr. Ford was in that estate, he wouldn't let a soul come near him, and as Mr. Zealot was advancing rapidly, Dragon began to fear for Mr. Ford. He was more confused than ever about what to do. In just mere moments, the door of Dragon's room was flung aside just by Mr. Zealot's bare hands. Dragon tried not to make a sound under the sheets, but he was still shivering from fright. Mr. Zealot quickly got to him, and tossed the sheet aside. “How are you doing my boy.”, said Mr. Zealot. “I'm fine.”, said a shivering Dragon. “Allow me to introduce, my self, I am Mr. Zealot, servant to Master Pförtner- And you are Agnar, if I'm not mistaken.”, said a confident Mr. Zealot. Dragon by now, had somehow managed to recall what Mr. Ford had instructed him to do. Dragon had to believe in him. “Yes, I am Agnar. But whatever you want, it doesn't
concern me in the least.”, said a fearless Dragon. “You don't, eh?”, said Mr. Zealot with evil intentioned eyes, “Impressive courage my boy, but-” He shot a glare at Agnar, and he couldn't help but look into those amazingly crimson red eyes. “Allow me to show you what happens to those that oppose us.”, said a calm but wicked Mr. Zealot. And true as he had said, Mr. Zealot's eyes seemed to go deeper and deeper, Agnar could see into them, the thoughts and past deeds of Mr. Zealot all whirling together. In a while he was there, at the center of the town. Something just wasn't quite right this time though. Agnar felt like he'd seen this scene before. It was that day. Agnar, could faintly remember it. Yes, it was that fateful day that the city had been burned to a crisp, and very few had survived. There he saw a few large beings had gathered and there was Mr. Zealot, he could make out another person here, the Agnar from the present that could just observe could see that the leader Amalgam that had managed to do him in was standing right there, he wanted desperately to attack, but all he could do was manage to hear the conversation. “Ah! How quaint this town is.”, said Mr. Zealot.“Boss, you sure that this really is the town.”, said the leader Amalgam that had already met Agnar in the present. “How dare you question me filth! Of course this is the town, that bloody old senile fool and that Legardian boy have got to be around here, as per Master Pförtner's instructions.”, said a confident Mr. Zealot. “So, what should we do, Sir Zealot?”, questioned the other leader Amalgam that was present at this gathering. “We destroy this town.”, said an irate Mr. Zealot. “What?!”, said the leader Amalgam that Agnar knew.
“You heard me! We destroy this town. And why? I'll tell you why. If we were to inquire about this in the town it will bloody take a long time to find these people, and the event doesn't have a long time to go, we need to get either of them to work with us, if we don't we will never be able to open the gate or fulfill Master Pförtner's dream.”, said an enthusiastic Mr. Zealot. “Very well.”, said the other leader Amalgam, “If its what Master Pförtner truly wishes for, we will make that dream a reality”, interjected the other leader whom Agnar knew. True enough all of these demons spread out, to destroy the city, so they could flush Agnar and Mr. Ford out. Agnar knew what was going to occur in that city. He knew what he was watching right now was a thing of the past. But he couldn't help try to warn the citizens about what was going to come their way. Even though the townsfolk didn't like him very much and considered him a demon. He just couldn't help the feeling of wanting to protect them from what was coming their way. He just couldn't bare to let people die. Meanwhile, the leader Amalgams had spread to distances, so that they could cover the entire city by each one of them, being at a corner of the city. This was their destruction battle formation. As soon as each one of them was at his position, they double checked by reaching out to each other by sensing each other's presences. Once they were sure, each and every leader Amalgam together shouted in a single voice.
“FEUERZERSTÖRER!!” [German Translation: Fire Destroyer] And at once from each of the leader Amalgam's mouths came fire, a fiery dark red. It was of the sort that could consume anything in its path. It almost resembled the dark flames of hell. Argon could not doing anything at this point but fall on his knees
and begin to cry. After a short amount of sobbing he remembered something that he had forgotten. If this was indeed that day. Yes, he was certain now. He had to go see his mother again. He ran as fast as his short legs could carry him, onward into the [now] illusionary inferno. The more closer he got, towards his house, the more depressed he was getting. Another familiar face greeted him. There at a distance he could see the same leader Amalgam, that had caused him to nearly die. Beside him was Mr. Zealot. This wasn't as big a shocker as compared to them being just above, his still unburnt house. He started thinking of possibilities as to why this was so. And thus far he was clueless. Even the Dragon who was now witnessing this entire scene as a double puppet didn't know. Mr. Zealot tore the roof of the house apart, using his hands which were flashing with some red illumination. He then proceeded to the bedroom of this house. Dragon now knew where he was going; he was going to meet his mother. But why?; that he didn't know. Mr. Zealot was now facing the bed in which Dragon's sick mother lay. “So, this is where you've been all these years.”, Mr. Zealot said. “Why are you here?”, asked Agnar's mother, with a disgusted expression, “Wasn't the fact that you killed my husband enough for you?”. “Well about that. We really didn't want to do him in.”, said Mr. Zealot. “What are you implying by that?”, inquired Agnar's mother with more fierceness. “To be more precise, I wanted not him or his legacy. All Master Pförtner wanted is that cursed child.”, said Mr. Zealot with
a grin of satisfaction. “What?! Why?! Wh- Why do you want him?”, inquired a terrifyingly scared Agnar's mother. “Ha Ha, I thought you'd ask that. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't have been even allowed to tell you this much. But since after we get our information, we have orders to kill you anyways. It doesn't make much difference if I tell you does it?”, “Very well, its because that child, contains the secrets to all earthly and heavenly elements. If we get a child like that on our side, I will, Master will, and all of the great evil beasts that dwell on the other side of the gate, will destroy them!! The earth is such a small target isn't it?”, said an ecstatic Mr. Zealot. “You monsters. Why do you want to destroy? Why do you want this, Why involve an innocent child in this!!”, Agnar's mother said while tears trickled down her cheeks. “You seem to forget who we are, we are the dark shadows, values like mercy and peace, are a load of crap which are followed by a wishful thinking bunch of optimists. They don't really exist!!”, said Mr. Zealot getting a great hysterical laugh, “Now back on to serious business, before having to get another geezer that is a key to the gate, we've got to get that rotten child first.”, “Where is the boy?” “Even if you tell me about all of this, do you seriously think I'll tell you where he is, just so you can mold him, in your sadistic ideals.”, said Agnar's mother. “I didn't think you would. But we're already prepared for that, we have a backup plan, we'll be back in a few months. Master seemed to think this was best, but the leader Amalgams were getting so restless, I just couldn't see them that pitiful, so I got them here, to enjoy some destruction.”, said Mr. Zealot with a sadistic laugh. “You-, You MONSTERS!!”, said an angry Agnar's mother. “Thats just your opinion, I seemed to love it.”, “Oh and just before I forget, you've got to die- now!”, said Mr. Zealot.
“Wait!!”, said a desperate Agnar's mother. “Want to beg for your life? Humans are so predictable!!”, said Mr. Zealot. “Please-- Please let me see my son one last time at least!!”, continued Agnar's mother. “What?! That was a little unexpected. But anyways, I didn't think you wouldn't know where he was either. Besides that, unlike some people, I'm not a man of my word so, yea, I'll let you see him, once our purpose is over, if you live that long, since, you're gonna die now, guess not!!”, said Mr. Zealot getting out through the roof, while signaling the leader Amalgam to destroy the house. “Yes, master.”, said the Amalgam Leader, and before Agnar could rebel against the mirage to his content, the roof of the house, along with the fire that had been cast by the Leader, brought the entire once sturdy structure down. Agnar, let out a gasp, and a tear trickled down his face. Now he knew how his mother had met her end, and also knew the root cause of this pain and emptiness he was subjected to. Whereas, the Agnar, who had been dragged from death to past, knew exactly who his life's executioner both of these times was. He knew it as a wild animal has gut instincts. He so desperately, wanted to rid himself of these painful memories, get on his feet, and defeat the evil that had ruined his entire life, and made him go through so much. But, even though these feelings burnt a hollow in his heart. As hard as he tried he couldn't get to his feet, he couldn't do anything. As sweat and tears swept down his face, he realized an ultimate truth. One that he had just once experienced before coming to this dark realm. The powerlessness he felt when he saw Phoenix taking all those Amalgams out in a single strike. He knew the truth. He was weak. And this weakness would soon become the cause of death of everything that was still dear to him, and then
some. His mind was set, he knew what to do next. He thought out loud, unafraid of the oblivion of darkness surrounding him. “If I get another chance to get up again, I swear I shall get stronger, and beat everyone that lives to destroy the lives of others. I swear I shall protect others that are in threat of losing everything. And--” Pausing for a while, he continued with a louder voice full of courage and determination. “I swear, I will destroy this organization Pftner is a part of, no matter what strength is needed to accomplish this goal.” Just before Agnar could complete this sentence, the darkness from the room started getting thinner and thinner, and the light seemed to diffuse in the darkness as though it was possessed. A soothing pseudo-deep voice, then said. “You want strength, eh?”, “To destroy the evil that lies beyond that gate?” “I like that attitude of your's, boy.” “Very well, I'll lend my power to you, till you accomplish this goal of your's.” “Who are--”, asked a puzzled Agnar. But before he could say anything, his entire body was blasted from all sides with pressurized light. “You do not need to know who I am, focus on your objective.”, said the distant voice, before fading away. And in a second, Agnar feeling a little giddy after that shock, fell to his knees. He was sweating like he'd just run a marathon. He was getting tired and quite fast. It took him a minute to realize sparking sounds all around him. And indeed, he was surrounded
by lightning sparks that were being subjected from his entire body. His hairs were standing on end, and he finally understood what that voice meant by lending him some power. “So thats how it is..”, “What a shocker!” “Let's see if I know my basics straight.”, wondered Agnar. “There we go.”, said he controlling and making the sparks diminish. “And now, here I come.”, said Dragon jacking his new electricity in his spinal cord. And in the next second, he could open his eyes, he smelt the same smell of the dirty wastelandish desert. And in the distance there was the Leader Amalgam the same one who had destroyed him twice, now standing in front of a fiery yet weaker Phoenix. Agnar was pumped and ready to show off his new abilities, and fulfill his oath starting with the first sacrifice that stood before him.
