Name: Neil Aldrin T. Buquia BSN-3D Date: 08-14-18 Area: DRH (pedia ward) Concept: Oxygenation C.I: Mrs. Batislaon, RN. Summary: This is our second exposure in DRH, we are assigned on pedia ward, with two patients. My patients were 1 y.o and 1 month old. I gave my full attention to the 1 month old baby, born with an unknown mother, and taken care of by poster parents. Jomer Lucas has AGE with mild dehydration to consider neonatal cholestihiasis to consider hypothyroidism, which is hard for me for planning what is the nursing care plan that I’m going to make for him. During that time when I’m assessing him, he has yellowish sclera, skin and pale lips noted. I don’t have any idea of what kind of disease he have because also it is my first time to encounter this kind of disease which is kind of complicated, but now recently I’m still doing my own research about this disease. Reaction: About my patient Jomer, I pity him because of his mother left him on the hospital, and for me his situation right now plus the emotional problems that he have even if he still an angel a 1 month old, it’s a challenge for his foster parents that will test for their faith to God. And also his real mother is an irresponsible heartless woman. Maybe she did such thing for a grave reason whatever it is, but it is really a baseless decision she made. :
