 Shall not use paid advertisement, nor use selflaudatory, exaggerated, or misleading publicity  Shall not solicit, nor permit to solicit, his/her name, advertisements or other support towards the cost of any publication presenting work  Shall not deceive public as to his/her professional competence, nor claim any professional specialization unless supported…  May exhibit his/her professional shingle outside office in a modest manner Article III The Architect’s Responsibilities in Relation to his/her Client Sections Content 4 Relation with the Client The Architect shall always endeavor to protect the Client’s interests but never at the expense of the higher public interests and public welfare  Shall introduce to a prospective Client the professional services able to perform  Shall acquaint or ascertain to the Client the exact nature and scope of services, (and fees)  Shall advise a Client against proceeding… whose practicability may be questionable  Shall explain the conditional character of estimates… in order to secure commission  Shall consider the needs and stipulation of Client and the effects upon the life and wellbeing of the public and community as a whole  Shall bill Client for services rendered a professional fee commensurate with the work involved… based upon SPP  Shall be compensated for his/her services solely through his/her professional fee  Shall be free from any investments and business relations outside profession  Shall include in his/her agreement with the Client a clause providing… methods for the settlement of disputes.  Shall carry out his/her professional work without undue delay and within agreed reasonable time limit  Shall keep the Client informed at all times of the progress of the work and of any issue that may affect project quality and cost Article IV The Architect’s Responsibilities in Relation to the Contractor Sections Contents 5 Relations with Contractor The Contractor depends upon the Architect to safeguard fairly the Contractor’s interest as well as those of Client and accordingly he/she;

 Shall give Contractor every reasonable assistance to enable him/her to fully understand the contents of Contract Documents  Shall not knowingly call upon the Contractor to correct or remedy oversights or errors  Shall reject or condemn…which is not in conformity with the Contract Documents  Shall reject any offer of free professional allied services which will tend to place him/her under any kind of obligation to return such favors  Shall promptly inspect each phase of the work completed and if found according to the terms of the Contract Documents, issue the corresponding certificates… to the Contractor Article V The Architect’s Responsibilities in Relation to Manufacturers, Dealers, and Agents Sections Contents 6 Relations with Manufacturers, Dealers and Agents An exchange of technical information between the Archit. and those who manufacture, supply, and handle bldg. materials or equipment is necessary  Shall not solicit free professional allied services from manufacturers or suppliers  All market discounts shall be credited to the Client Article VI The Architect’s Responsibilities in Relation to his/her Colleagues and Subordinates Sections Contents 7 Relations with his/her colleagues and subordinates The Architect has moral responsibilities towards profession, colleagues and subordinates  Shall not render professional services without a professional service agreement  Shall abide by the Basic Minimum Fee prescribed under the SPP  Shall not enter as competitor in any Architectural Competition when has direct involvement in the formulation of the program  Shall not solicit any project already known to as previously committed to another architect  Shall not undertake a commission for which he/she knows another Architect has been previously employed unless notified  Shall not undertake a commission for additions, rehabilitation, or remodeling undertaken previously by another architect without notifying him/her.  Shall not maliciously, unfairly criticize, or discredit another architect or work

 Shall refrain from associating with that may negatively affect self or architectural profession  Shall not affix signature and seal to any plans or documents prepared by other persons and not done under direct personal supervision  Shall provide employees and subordinate with suitable work environment, compensate them fairly, and facilitate their professional advance  Shall unselfishly give share in the transfer of technical knowledge and experience  Shall unselfishly give time and effort to the advancement of the profession  Shall ensure that the conduct of professional practice abides by appropriate and effective internal procedures  Shall neither appropriate the intellectual property of, nor unduly take advantage of the ideas of another architect without authority  Shall build professional reputation on the merits of own service and performance  Shall not quote a fee without first receiving an official invitation for to do so  Shall not undertake professional work unless the parties shall have clearly agreed in the writing of terms: scope of work, delineation of responsibilities, any limitation of responsibilities, fee or method of calculating, mode of alternative dispute resolution and any provision for termination  Shall continue to raise standards of… practice  Shall promote allied arts and contribute to the knowledge and capability of the industry  Shall file a formal complaint with the designated body  Shall not take document materials from Architect-Employer even personally performed  Shall not discrimnate Article VII Architects Credo Sections Contents 8 Any RLA shall recite…the Architects Credo during special or important occasion (Insert Architects Credo here*) Article VIII Miscellaneous Provisions Sections Contents 9 Liabilities and Penalties Any RLA or a grantee of temporary /special permit who violates any provision of this Code shall be

liable under Sec. 23 (f), Rule III and Sec. 29 Art. IV of RA 9266 Not less than (P100,000) but not more than (P5,000,000) or to Not less than (6 months) but not exceed (6 years) Separability Clause If any section or part of herein resolution shall be declared unconstitutional or invalid, shall not affect the other sections or provisions Effectivity Clause Shall take effect after (15 days) following its full and complete publication
