Reflection My personal disposition statement is to an effective teacher, that seeks to understand the needs of all my students. I want to be committed to mastering my lesson plans and teaching the standards. I want to have an open mind, be patient, and respectful to my students and coworkers. I want to build a strong relationship with my students, their families, and my school community. My self-assessment supports your professional dispositions statement because I strongly agree with most of the statements and I feel the statements are important part of becoming a teacher. My self-assessment also supports my professional disposition statement because I am aware of my goals, and they are identified for my development. I feel that I have grown my

professional dispositions throughout my program of study because, I have learned how to read standards, and the proper way to plan for teaching a lesson. In my opinion I have grown by understanding the code of ethics. Before my program of study, I was not familiar with the code of ethics, and the correct way to make a good first impression. While attending GCU it has made me prepared to handle certain issues in the classroom such as learning to, work with ELL students, and be prepared to teach students of different cultures, ethnicity, and races. The steps I will take to improve is to do more research in learning the standards and how to tie it into teaching a lesson. I plan to become more aware of different cultures and backgrounds, so that I can be prepared to teach the students in my classroom. I plan to work with my cooperating teacher and other teachers on the school campus so that I can learn about different issues that can arise in the classroom and how to handle them. Since I was young I was a hands-on learner and I learn best by doing, so I plan to do as much as I can in the classroom to help prepare me to have my own classroom one day.
