Prodigal By Steve Kozachik
Em Am I’m wandering in the desert of my anger, sin and shame Em Am Trying to hide my wounds and fears from the only One C Em Am Who can heal the pain. Em Am You say I can be sure of all the things I hope for Em Am That You’ll shake my earth and take away that which can be shaken C Em And reveal Your kingdom. G D But how can this prodigal come boldly to the Father G D And not be undone by the total Love You offer C D Though my sin is Your crown of thorns, You run with open arms C Em Am Saying “Come unto Me”… My beloved. Em Am As a bruised reed I shrink before Your throne of grace Em Am Crippled and ashamed of the walls I build between us C Em Am How can You call me righteous? Em Am So I fix my eyes on Jesus, Who for the joy before Him Em Am Endured my scorn and bore my cross and now is not ashamed C Em To call Himself my God.
