Learning Objectives: After successful completion of this lecture students will be able to: • • • • • • • • • • • • • •

Articulate the fundamental concepts, methods and practices of modern information technology; Effectively use communication technologies (i.e. mobile technologies and services) and related information technologies (laptops, computer networks, PDAs and wearable Data Sources); for personal and management purposes; Identify information and communication technology solutions that fit modern business needs. Identify and use tools for personal and professional knowledge management Organization, Resource Discovery and Utilization. Discover efficient ways to work in distributed / international teams; Define strategies for creating a Mobile Office; Practice teaming-up online, conducting long distance team steering; Information and resources within a project using platforms, Understand Intranets, discussion groups and online meetings; Conduct efficient conference calls and Video Conferences; Learn ways to digitally handle documents, schedules, management decisions, market data more efficiently; Gain business advantage by targeted deployment of networking teams; Understand Digital Rights, Digital Assets and Digital Convergence.

Format of Course: In general, each class will consist of: • review and discussion of assigned reading, and an occasional quiz; • lecture on topics related to that class; • group and class discussion of assigned case studies; • extensive hands-on experience with information technologies.

Pre-Requisite Skills: - The desire to learn and experience information and communication technologies first hand. Have attended the first course entitled: Information Technology 1 (IT1), Also, it is essential to be confident in reading, writing and speaking in English.

Grading: - In class participation: 25%, students are expected to be very active within the lectures by engaging in discussions and in-class assignments. Students should be producers and consumers, “prosumers” of the knowledge within this lecture. - Social Media Assignments: 25% , You will be expected to be an active blogger and social media practitioner during this course. - In class presentation: 50%, Teams prepare a paper and a PowerPoint / Keynote presentation a theme related to the topics covered in the course. This will be a professional presentation with Q&A from your peers. - Final Paper: 25%, A final paper will be delivered by November 21 – Topic and length of paper will be discussed in the first class.
