Executive Summary “Practice makes the man perfect” University of the Punjab is one of the leading universities in the World. Punjab University is the heart of Pakistan’s Education and is rendering invaluable services to the Pakistan nation by producing outstanding graduates who have aims to change the world. I myself feel proud as being a part of that superb university and feel proud of my teachers because of their excellent teaching style and vast knowledge, as well as their scholastic approach. Preparing students to face the world confidently and courageously, PUGC arranges an internship Programs during summer vacations in final year. The purpose of this program is to give practical exposure about our studies. Internship is the part of our academic M.Com degree. It is the practical portion in which we did internship in any registered organization for eight weeks. I worked as internee in the Askari Bank Limited, Vehari Branch. Askari Bank Limited was incorporated in 1991. Vehari Branch is the 93rd branch of the bank which was inaugurated in 2005. The aim of my struggle is to know about the market and its difficulties. I worked as internee to know about the activities of Bank. Understudy report is about what I have learned and observed during my internship. You will find analysis of the organization and recommendations about organization in the report.

Here is the report which covers the over all information of the organization in which I have worked as internee and “work performed by me” during eight week internship at askari bank limited Vehari branch. We are living in a time of extraordinary change. The ecological and economic threat is looming large on the entire sphere of Pakistanis economy. Pakistani organizations must design and make better products and services and should find better ways to market them. What was once regarded enough is no longer competitive. What were once limitless resources are now to be used more efficiently. Today an organization is on the leading edge, or it is on the bleeding edge. Askari Bank Limited is the project of Army Welfare Trust. Askari bank has been incorporated in 1991 under the banking companies’ ordinance 1962. Today after sixteen years, it has 11.1 billion rupees as equity of the bank, 66 billion rupees as asset and having more then 665,000 customer and employees 4,585. It has been introduced various products. Today banking sector is in tough competition due to the arrival of new world class banks and merger of the existing banks. Bank has to make the progress but with competition. Here in the report deficiencies and plus points have been described which I observed during my internship and during the overall analysis of the bank. What askari bank have, field of activities and department, all are described in this report. After this, analysis has also been made and suggestions for the bank have been written as the recommendations. Conclusions has also found out about the over all progress of the bank. At the end I am very thankful to all of those who have contributed towards my learning. I am thankful to not only those who have taught me but also to staff and management of askari bank limited, Vehari branch who thought me as the colleague and involved me in the practical portion of the bank.
