The prayer of Sundar Singh (a Hindu converted to Christ)
“O, Lord, God, You are everything to me, Life of my life, Spirit of my spirit. Have mercy on me and fill me with the Holy Spirit of Your love, so much so, that there will be no room for anything else in my heart. Not Your mercy I ask of You, but You I desire; You are the source of all blessings. I don’t ask worldly glory of You and not even heaven; but it’s You I need. Because heaven is where You are. Only in You my heart finds thankfulness and satisfaction. Your innumerable gifts have made my heart run over in thanksgiving and praises. But the praise of my lips, nor my works suffice, if not my whole life is totally devoted to You. You be praised because You have taken me from death to Life. Regardless of who I was You have given me the joy of having communion with You and Your love. Keep away from my heart all that opposes You. Live and reign in me. Lord, to sit at Your feet is infinitely better than to be seated at the most high earthly throne. Because sitting at Your feet means being with You always, in Your eternal Kingdom! And now I give myself to You as a living sacrifice. Accept me in Your grace and use me to do Your works There where You want me and in the way You want me to do this Because You are in me, and I am in You. You have taken this piece of dust and You have changed me in Your image. And You’ve given me the right to become Your son. Honour, Praise and Glory be to You forever and ever! AMEN'' For more articles like this, go to www.image-of-christ.blogspot.com
