Personal Review Idea & Analysis The best idea for product awareness & sales is the need identification of the existing customers. That need is identified through any mode of communication i.e. cold calling, formal meetings, questionnarie forms, tele-calling, & indirect sources like tenders, ect. Different strategies, evidences, skills & methodologies are being dealt & described according to the weekly analysis report
Week 1 In the orientation the lecturette sessions are organized where knowledge of the following attributes is given:
RGV product portfolio. Defining the verticals. How to approach, takle, & coax the customer.
Moving for the cold calling in the institutions, organizations, public sector undertakings, banks, etc. Following is the flow chart for approaching the clients:
Keeping in mind the above strategy folowing organizations are covered:
University of Petroleum & Energy Studies Worked for the proposal for the requirement of Access Points of the Wireless Fidelity Networks & Network Upgradation/ Expansion. Before proceeding let’s see what Wi-Fi, Access Points, Network Upgradation, & Network Expansion actually are:
Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) Wi-Fi, an abbreviation for wireless fidelity, is a wireless communication technology that can provide connections between portable computers and wired connections to the Internet. To connect users with the Internet, Wi-Fi devices use low-power transmitters and receivers equipped with special computer chips containing radio modems. The chips can be installed in laptop computers, personal digital assistants (PDAs), and cellular telephones. Radio modems provide the same functions as modems that operate with conventional wire-based networks: They modulate and demodulate signals to mimic digital bit streams, the same format used by computers. Wi-Fi-equipped computers, cell phones, and PDAs provide mobile, wireless access to e-mail and Internet sites. The radio modems must be in range of a Wi-Fi device containing a
transmitter and receiver that is connected to a landline providing Internet access. Areas within range of a Wi-Fi transmitter and receiver are known as hot spots. Current technical standards limit the range to distances of about 90 m (300 ft). Many transmitters, however, can be linked to cover a wider area, such as an airport or hotel. Current Wi-Fi standards enable data to be sent at high speeds ranging from 11 to 54 megabits per second. This is known as a broadband connection because a vast amount of data can be sent quickly. A new technology known as WiMax promises to extend the range of a transmitter and receiver to about 48 km (30 mi). The WiMax technology also expands the capabilities of broadband connections by enabling users to remain connected to Internet hot spots even when traveling in an automobile or train at speeds up to 250 km/h (155 mph). Wireless Communications, various telecommunications systems that use radio waves to carry signals and messages across distances. Wireless communications systems include cellular telephones, pagers, radio telegraphs, satellite telephones, laptop computers, personal digital assistants (PDAs), shortwave radios, and two-way radios. They are used primarily to transmit private communications. Commercial radio and television are also wireless telecommunications systems, but radio and television are mainly public broadcast services rather than private communications systems (see Radio and Television Broadcasting). This article focuses on wireless communications systems that are used primarily for private communications.
Benefits of using Wi-Fi Networks: Quickly deployable Flexibility and re-deploy ability Only option for ‘difficult-to-wire’ buildings (heritage, historical, municipal regulatory blocks..) Favorable Total cost of ownership as compared to data rate equivalent Wireline solutions over the long term Very high reliability as compared to Wireline solutions Control/Ownership of Network with the end-user, no dependency on external service providers Very high speeds that can support simultaneous Data, Voice and Video.
All wireless communications devices use radio waves to transmit and receive signals. These devices operate on different radio frequencies so that signals from one device will not overlap and interfere with nearby transmissions from other devices. The number of companies offering wireless communications services has grown steadily in recent years. For example, in 1988 about 500 companies offered cell phone services. By 2001 that number had grown to more than 2,500 companies serving about 120 million subscribers. Currently, telecommunications companies throughout the world are activating more wireless service subscriptions than they are conventional wire-based service subscriptions. Wireless communication is becoming increasingly popular because of the convenience and mobility it affords; the expanded availability of radio frequencies for transmitting, which makes it possible to handle a larger volume of calls; and improvements in technology, which have added other services such as Internet access and improved the clarity of voice transmissions.
Access Points Access Points are the end point terminals placed or mounted on the walls and provide end mile solutions to the wireless users.
These are of mainly of two types, i.e. Indoor access point. Outdoor access point.
An antenna depicting outdoor Wi-Fi access point
Network Upgradation & Network Expansion When an organization is already equipped with Wi-Fi, IP camera, LAN, WLAN, etc. and still there is a requirement of more expansion & advanced networking, it is said to undergo network upgradation or network expansion

Solution Overview of WiFi at IMS Using Mesh Technology (TROPOS)
The requirement at IMS is for complete wireless networking of its campus. The highlight of our solution is complete coverage be it open areas, class rooms, conference halls or staff rooms. Having carried out the site survey, RGV realizes the importance of network coverage at IMS and for this purpose we are proposing a state of the art WiFi solution comprising of outdoor as well as indoor wireless access units. The proposed solution is not only user friendly but also secure. As we understand, Security (in terms of no unauthorized access), ease of usability and maintenance will be the prime concerns at IMS hence the proposed solution is comprehensive in all the above aspects. The plan is to implement a combination of outdoor & indoor solution using Mesh Topology to cater to the requirements of WiFi in the campus. Minimal laying of wires will be our concern hence the Proposed solution is completely customized to the needs of the architectures of the buildings. While designing the network, emphasis has been laid on providing maximum connectivity with minimum number of equipment maintaining the beauty of the campus. This is the reason behind proposing a Mesh Topology with minimal wires. The proposed solution is based on TROPOS which is a self-learning and self-healing network. It’s a high-end MESH Topology.
