Reason for choosing this question

Correct!

Sorry You are Incorrect

Reason for Question • We chose this question because every American citizen should know the colors of their own country’s flag. If you were from Italy, you would know that your flag colors are red, white, and green. A country’s flag colors are one thing that an American citizen should know about. Another reason is because the flag is the symbol of our country, making the colors important.

Reason for this Question • On our flag, there are 13 stripes. Those 13 stripes represent the 13 original colonies. These colonies are the first 13 states of the 50 states in America. If you are an American citizen, you should know all of the 13 original states that make up part of their country.

Reason for Choosing This Question • We chose this question because slavery was one of the most important things in our history. Slavery was oh so very cruel, and the president who ended it should be recognized. If an American citizen did not know of the president who ended slavery in America, that would be downright wrong. Abraham Lincoln went through a lot to end slavery, and every American citizen should know who he is.

Reason for Choosing This Question • The Declaration of Independence is one of the most important documents that America has. America would still be fighting England if it weren’t for the Declaration of Independence. The person who mainly wrote it should be credited for freeing America. An American citizen should know who wrote one of our most important documents.

Reason for this Question • The Bill of Rights contains the first 10 amendments to our constitution. Every American should know all of them by heart, especially the first one. They should know the first amendment because it expresses the right, we have, to say what we really believe in. It is a strong, important amendment, and every American citizen should know it.

Reason for choosing this question • We chose this question because there are many complicated things about the government. Simply, if you put the government into groups, such as, the three branches, it will be much easier to understand how it all works and what they all do.

Reason for this Question We chose this question because we believe that everyone should know that they have more than laws protecting them; they have rights. They have the right to do many things, thanks to the Bill of Rights. Some people know about the rights but they don't know why they were created, and what the purpose is. These things are all very important because they are things we live by every day.

Reason for this Question • The system of Checks and Balances is a very important system. Without it, different branches would have more power over others. One of the most important things about Checks and Balances is that the president cannot declare war on his own, only Congress can declare war. That is important to know, because if the president declares war, it could be for spilled milk. With this system, Congress makes the decision, not the president.

Reason for Choosing This Question • We chose this question because it was a great example of a major supreme court decision. This also is a good example of the 1st Amendment. An American citizen should know what the 1st Amendment is, and also what the Supreme Court does.
