For Immediate Release Statement on Freshman Convocation

This past Wednesday September 16th, 2009 Speaker of the Student Association General Assembly, Christopher Pierno, addressed the Class of 2013 during Freshman Convocation. During his address to the new members of the university Speaker Pierno stressed that integrity is foundational to their experience at The Catholic University of America. He also charged the new students to become active in the campus community. He told the students, “You will find the honor and integrity evident in this statement (the honor statement) compels you to help others while fostering personal growth.” The Speaker concluded by reciting the Honor Statement with the freshman class. The speaker was just one of several Student Association General Assembly members who helped and participated in convocation this year. Their assistance allowed to the convocation to commence smoothly. ###
