The Infinite Power of Hope
A milking stool is usually constructed of three legs in a tripod arrangement. The splayed arrangement of legs was a necessary functional design, for it provided stability on the often uneven stone or dry earth floors that were typical of early farm buildings. And for milking purposes, the tripod legs served another important need - they allowed the sitter to lean forward on two legs, “into” the cow, without losing balance. -Jack Hill, Country Woodworker, pg 27 Hope is one leg of a three-legged stool, together with faith and charity. These three stabilize our lives regardless of the rough or uneven surfaces we might encounter at the time. -President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Ensign, Nov 2008, pg. 21
