Post-op vomiting & vertigo associated with diseases affecting the vestibular system Drug Classification: Antiemetics & Antivertigo Drugs Mechanism of Action: Has central anticholinergic, CNS depressant, and antihistamic properties, decrease excitability of the middle ear labyrinth and depresses conduction in the middle ear. Dosage: Adult 25-100 mg daily; Children 5-10 y/o 12.5-25 mg Special Precaution: May impair ability to drive or operate machinery.
