INTRODUCTION

“EVERYONE DESERVES A COMFORTABLE AND SOUND SLEEP, AND THIS IS WHAT WE PROVIDE.”

Guest is God, and providing the guest with more and more comfort is what hospitality is all about. But we forget about the time where the guest have to wait, let it be an airport, where he waits for hours for his delayed flight or a railway station where he waits for his next train in a transit for hours. It is the responsibility of the organization to provide the guest with a comfortable and sound waiting time. This is where the role of our ECO FRIENDLY PORTABLE BED comes in play.

Our bed is designed in such a way that it can be folded and stacked one over the another and when needed can be unfolded and converts into a full sized bed. As it can be folded into a small box it can be kept in airports and railway stations, so when required can be used by the guest to have comfortable waiting time just by unfolding and relaxing on it. This will provide the guest with a new experience as well as a comfortable and cozy waiting time.

Our bed is made up of 100% recycled cardboard so is also environmental friendly. It requires no screws, nuts or tools unlike other steel made beds so is easy to use and assemble. The bed is a single crafted piece of cardboard so it has no additional bits or pieces and requires no additional packaging of plastic. The bed is light in weight but will not easily fall apart even with hard usage and even with light body it can sustain more weight. Just like an ANT, it can sustain 100times of its own weight. The secret of this cardboard bed sustaining more weight lies in the correct construction and the selection of proper cardboard. It will also be cost effective for the organization as it is extremely durable and can sustain time.

Review of Literature

Stress at Hotel Industry. Employee stress is a significant issue in the hospitality industry, and it is costly for employers and employees alike. Although addressing and reducing stress is both a noble goal and is capable of resulting in expense reductions for employers, the nature and quantity of hospitality employee stress is not fully understood. The first aim of this study was to identify common work stressors in a sample of 164 managerial and hourly workers employed at 65 different hotels who were each interviewed for eight consecutive days. The two most common stressors were interpersonal tensions at work and overloads (e.g., technology not functioning). The second aim was to determine whether there were differences in the types and frequency of work stressors by job type (i.e., managers v. non-managers), gender, and marital status. Hotel managers reported significantly more stressors than hourly employees. There were no significant differences by gender or marital status. The third aim was to investigate whether the various stressors were linked to hotel employee health and work outcomes. More employee and coworker stressors were linked to more negative physical health symptoms. Also, interpersonal tensions at work were linked to lower job satisfaction and greater turnover intentions What is ‘eco friendly portable bed’ ? It is a new innovation of beds which can be easily folded and unfolded, is light in weight but durable and is easy to use.

Maximizing guest comfort : It becomes very tiring for the guest to wait for hours for their flights or trains in airports and railway stations. It is easy to assemble and is comfortable as well, and the guest will have a comfortable time relaxing on this bed.
