Political Organisations Despite the restrictions on the power of the Reichstag, mass political parties flourished, in part because of the introduction of universal male suffrage. However, because of the limits on the power of the Reichstage, other types of political organisations, which represented different interests, developed.

By 1914, Germay had become the economic powerhouse of continental Europe, and it was not just in the old industries that Germany excelled. The technological revolutions in steel, engineering, chemicals, electricity and petroleum industries was led by Germany.

Task You will spend the remainder of this lesson preparing a pan for your essay. Title: “To what extent had Germany’s economy improved by WWI and how did this imapct upon her population.” Around the room are notes on the growth of Germany’s economy, reasons for this, the effect upon the population, urbansiation & agriculture, as well as sources. You have the rest of this lesson to make your way around each table making notes, extracting information from sources and then producing an essay plan for the above question.
