Narrative An operator of a MV reports a black SUV stuck her MV in the rear while she was stopped on Garden St. The SUV fled the area after the crash. stated on October 04, 2009 @ approximately 5:27pm he was operating his wife's MV (_ ••••• on Garden St. stated he had come to.a complete stop on Garden Sf. (towards Harvard Sq.) at the intersection of Linehan St. for a red light. When the light turned green he remained stopped for on coming traffic so he could take a left turn safely. stated he had his left directional activated indicating his turn. stated as he was stopped when his MV was struck in the rear. As ••• pulled to the right after the crash he observed a black SUV type MV with front end damage flee the area via a right turn onto Harvard University property (dance center). stated his wife (front passenger) contacted ECC via a cell phone to report the crash. While on scene of the crash approached me and stated he observed the operator of the suspect MV. stated while he was standing on the sidewalk of Garden Sf. (Harvard U. Dance Center side) he heard a loud crash and looked to the street to see a black SUV operated by a white male in his mid to late 30's. stated the black SUV fled up the driveway of the Harvard U. Dance Center. stated he would be able to identify the operator of the black SUV. ) also approached me while on scene of the crash and stated he observed the crash. • Stated while on the sidewalk of Garden St. (Harvard U. Dance Center side) he observed a gry mini van (victims MV) stopped on Garden St attempting to take a left turn onto Linehan St.. ••• stated the mini van had its left turn signal on. stated a black SUV traveling on Garden St. (towards Harvard Sq.) approaching Linehan St. struck the mini van in the rear. stated the black SUV was traveling between 20 - 25 MPH when it struck the mini van. stated the black SUV the turned right onto the driveway of the Harvard U. Dance c.enllt.e.r .an.d.fle.d.th.e.a.rella ••: stated that he & his wife wrote down the registration number of the fleeing MV.• Wf:lile on scene I made note of the damage to MV. The rear end of the MV had damage to the bumper and rear door. I also noted a paint transfer onto the bumper area of MV. The color red in the shape of numbers and letters was transferred onto the rear bumper. Photo's of the paint transfer and damage were taken on a CPD camera. ••••
was transported via PRO EMS with reported back & neck injuries to Mt. Auburn Hospital.
Three other occupants of the MV sated they were not injured and declined medical attention. (•••••• A check (CJISI NCIC - on-board computer) of the MA reg given to me came back to a 20091nfi FX Util color black leased to Mr. Anthony Galluccio Ihrobridge St. Cambridge, MA. After clearing the scene of the crash I responded to .hrobridge St. in an attempt to contact the owner of the suspect MV. There was no answer at the door and no sign of anyone home in the residence. I also checked the area for the suspect MV with negative results. A two family property on Sunset Rd was checked for the SP Mv with negative results. A residence on Buckingham St. was checked for the SP MV with negative results. Tech Auto Body Shop on New St. was checked for the Sp MV with negative results. ••••••
took control of her MV and was able to drive it from the scene.
Officer Pilgrim (wagon 2) responded to the scene (under the direction of Car 19 - Sgt. Marfione) with a CPD Camera and photographed the damage & the paint transfer to the victims MV (see Officer Pilgrims supplement report). The photo card was placed into the CPD Photo Evidence Locker. Further investigation to be conducted by CPD Traffic Unit.
