What is a PLC? • A community of learners united by a common focus or goal and whose mission is to grow through sharing and collaboration for the purpose of student achievement. Ground Rules: •
Conflicts with attendance? o May miss one meeting for good reason. o Must secure materials from facilitator and read to make up for time missed.

What we want: o Positive strategies o Ideas for curriculum that affect student achievement o Skills development that affects student achievement o Ideas and skills relevant to our jobs o Everyone participates

What we don’t want: o No gripe sessions o No wasted time
•
To receive credit: print off page that records time spent on particular topic. Must finish each segment for credit. Turn in printed page to Janie for credit. Six hours of our own time on PD360. Six hours of time as a PLC. Twelve hours total.

Before next meeting, log in to PD360, search for a topic that we’re interested in and share it with the group. Spend 10 minutes per person sharing at the next meeting.
