Saint Peter Was he "The Rock" ? Was he "Special" ? written 7/14/2007 by D.J. Love, TSN, SBC

Apostle Peter: According to The Universal Roman church, Saint Peter was established as the head of all Apostles and Messiah's church, but is that true? The following is proof of their claim, and their personal claim of being The One True Church. However, even The King James version of The Bible says otherwise. Personally, I do not believe that it is possible for YHVH's True Church to still be totally ignorant of The Truth about The Saints, when they have had 2000 years to discover it. Therefore, no christopagan (Christian) churches are YHVH's True Church, because not one of them knows or is concerned with learning YHVH's Truths. However, they are concerned with making you believe that they are the One True Church, so that you will support them financially, and depend on them rather than YHVH. They want you to believe that their church has the authority to change YHVH's Laws. See: Authority Of The Church.

Catholic Encyclopedia: (07/14/2007, copy and paste) http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/11744a.htm Peter becomes Head of the Apostles In especially solemn fashion Christ accentuated Peter's precedence among the Apostles, when, after Peter had recognized Him as the Messias, He promised that he would be head of His flock. Jesus was then dwelling with His Apostles in the vicinity of Caesarea Philippi, engaged on His work of salvation. As Christ's coming agreed so little in power and glory with the expectations of the Messias, many

different views concerning Him were current. While journeying along with His Apostles, Jesus asks them: "Whom do men say that the Son of man is?" The Apostles answered: "Some John the Baptist, and other some Elias, and others Jeremias, or one of the prophets". Jesus said to them: "But whom do you say that I am?" Simon said: "Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God". And Jesus answering said to him: "Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-Jona: because flesh and blood hath not revealed it to thee, but my Father who is in heaven. And I say to thee: That thou art Peter [Kipha, a rock], and upon this rock [Kipha] I will build my church [ekklesian], and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven". Then he commanded his disciples, that they should tell no one that he was Jesus the Christ (Matthew 16:13-20; Mark 8:27-30; Luke 9:18-21). By the word "rock" the Saviour cannot have meant Himself, but only Peter, as is so much more apparent in Aramaic in which the same word (Kipha) is used for "Peter" and "rock". His statement then admits of but one explanation, namely, that He wishes to make Peter the head of the whole community of those who believed in Him as the true Messias; that through this foundation (Peter) the Kingdom of Christ would be unconquerable; that the spiritual guidance of the faithful was placed in the hands of Peter, as the special representative of Christ. This meaning becomes so much the clearer when we remember that the words "bind" and "loose" are not metaphorical, but Jewish juridical terms. It is also clear that the position of Peter among the other Apostles and in the Christian community was the basis for the Kingdom of God on earth, that is, the Church of Christ. Peter was personally installed as Head of the Apostles by Christ Himself. This foundation created for the Church by its Founder could not disappear with the person of Peter, but was intended to continue and did continue (as actual history shows) in the primacy of the Roman Church and its bishops.

Please Note: It is very apparent from the last sentence above that "The Roman church" in all its pompous vanity would most assuredly desire for mankind to believe this unrighteous lie, but

the truth is just below.

Matthew 16:22-23 (Messiah speaking to Peter) 22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. 23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of YHVH, but those that be of men. Now I as you, would Messiah give all authority unto Satan? YHVH forbid ! However, what Messiah was actually saying to Peter was that his "Human Nature" (Satan's Nature) was showing. So was The Apostle Peter evil, special or just another "Piece of The Rock"?

Matthew 16:19 (Messiah speaking to Peter) And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in the clouds: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in the clouds.

What we have here is a failure to communicate. Not on the part of Messiah, but on the part of the translators and, also, on the part of The Roman church (who has much to gain by mankind's ignorance). Apparently Messiah has made this statement before, and all of the Apostles understood that they were all "A Piece Of The Rock", and not just Peter.

Matthew 18:15-20 (Speaking to his Apostles / Disciples) 15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. 16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as a heathen man and a publican. 18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in the clouds: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in the clouds. 19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in the clouds. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

So was Peter really "The Rock"? No! Look carefully at the "Also" in Matthew 16, verse 18 below. That "Also" is a sure fire indicator that Messiah had made this statement to others; just as shown in Matthew 18, verse 18 above.

Matthew 16:17-18 17And Yahshua answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona (Peter): for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in the clouds. 18And I say also unto thee (as well as to all of my other disciples by their own name), That thou art Peter, and upon this rock (of Righteousness) I will build my church (my Bride); and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (my Righteousness Seeking Bride).

So "Who" or "What" is "The Rock" in question?

Deuteronomy 32:3-4 3 Because I will publish the name of the LORD Yahveh: ascribe ye greatness unto our Yahveh. 4 He (YHVH) is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a Yahveh of truth and without iniquity, just and righteous is

he.

Deuteronomy 32:31 For their rock is not as our Rock (YHVH), even our enemies themselves being judges.

Psalms 62:6-7 6 He (YHVH) only is my rock and my salvation: He (YHVH) is my defence; I shall not be moved. 7 In Yahveh is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my (righteous) strength, and my (Righteous) refuge, is in (Righteous) Yahveh.

Matthew 7:24-25 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock (of Righteousness): 25 And the rain (trials) descended, and the floods (tribulations) came, and the winds (evil) blew, and beat upon that (righteous) house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock (of Righteousness).

Romans 9:33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and (Righteous) rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him (trusts in his righteousness) shall not be ashamed.

1 Corinthians 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that Spiritual Rock (not a physical rock of flesh) that followed them: and that Rock (of righteousness) was (Spiritually manifested in) Messiah.

"The Rock" is YHVH; the source of all Righteousness, but YHVH is not a person (flesh) nor can flesh contain YHVH (except in Spiritual Righteousness). Flesh cannot even physically look upon YHVH and live.

1 Samuel 15:28-29 28 And Samuel said unto him, The LORD hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou. 29 And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he (YHVH) is not a man (flesh), that he should repent.

Exodus 33:17-21 17 And the LORD YHVH said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name (reputation). 18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. 19 And He said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. 20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. 21 And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock (physical to Spiritual Parallel?): Since YHVH is not a person, and yet YHVH is "The Rock" we cannot give "The Rock" or even "A Piece of the Rock" a personal identity (as a person), but rather as an attribute of YHVH, even though it outwardly appears that Messiah is, also, referred to as "The Rock" (by proxy).

Isaiah 51:1 Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness (Righteousness Seekers), ye that seek the LORD Yahveh: look unto the (metaphorical)

rock (of Righteousness) from whence ye are hewn, and to the (metaphorical) hole of the pit (death) from whence ye are digged (removed or saved).

Hearken, "Righteousness Seekers" ! Ye who have been "Cut out without hands" (hewn) from "The Rock" and made from sinners (digged from the pit). Aren't all of YHVH's sons a "Piece of The Rock"? Aren't all of YHVH's sons "The New Jerusalem" that will smash the governments of this Earth to pieces ?

Daniel 2:34 Thou sawest till that a stone (metaphorical piece of The Rock) was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.

Daniel 2:45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone (metaphorical piece of The Rock) was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great Yahveh hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

And what is that "Attribute" of "The Rock" from which all of YHVH's sons (Messiah too) are hewn?

Psalms 72:3 The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.

Note: Doesn't Peter's name mean "Petros" or "Pebble"? Don't pebbles come from larger rocks? It's a metaphorical statement. It's the same thing as speaking in parables.

"WE" (YHVH's "Chosen Few") are ALL a "Piece of The Rock" on / of which Messiah will build his "Bride" (New Jerusalem).

Revelation 21:2 And I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from Yahveh out of the clouds, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Revelation 19:7-8 7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the Marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife (bride) hath made herself ready. 8 And to her (bride) was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

Exodus 33:21 And the LORD Yahveh said, Behold, there is a place (in Righteousness) by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock (of Righteousness): My friends, YHVH does not seek perfection in mankind. YHVH seeks those sinners that have rejected sin (SELF) in order to seek perfection in Righteousness. It is our "Intent" that YHVH judges.

Don't you want to be a "Piece Of The Rock"?
