They can be possessed or controlled physically B. Choses in action These are intangible pieces of personal property. Because they do not have a physical presence, then cannot be possessed. They are referred to as rights. Example: - company shares - a sum of money owed (debt) - insurance policies - intellectual property - business goodwill - cheques C. Chattels real This is a lease of land in which a tenant gets exclusive possession for a number of years, usually in return for a rental.
