Dr. Seuss, Legend in the Writers’ Realm Globally, any kid who has the reading habit will love to read the books of Dr. Seuss. If any child in America is passing the childhood days without the touch of Dr. Seuss writings, the child is considered to be culturally poor and it is the actual fact. Theodor Seuss Geisel was born in 1904. Though he had written under many pen-names, his books written under the name Dr. Seuss appeared to be the famous one. Dr. Seuss had written classics like Mr. Brown can moo, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish and The cat in the Hat, exclusively for kids and they are supposed to enchant the children and to be kept as a treasure in their library. Fortunately, many of the books of Dr. Seuss had transformed into films, to enthrall the kids who love watching than reading. Actually, Theoder’s grandparents were the settlers from Germany in America, and they started their career in Springfield of Massachusetts. He grew in Springfield and Theodor was popular as a chief editor as a student for a humour magazine. But, later he started employing the name Dr. Seuss, which became so popular in the later days. With the aim of receiving Ph.D in English literature he entered the Oxford College, but, he fell in love with Helen Geisel. He married her in 1927. Without completion of his studies he returned to America and started his carrier as a writer. He wrote for various magazines, and also worked on advertisements, and one of it became very famous and its name is “Flit”, he also drew some pictures for the advertisement companies and also worked as a cartoonist. During his sailing, he completed his renowned first book. When the World War II broke out, Dr. Seuss again started cartooning and writing, but this time he wrote for a news paper in New York City. His writing was against racial discrimination, and he supported completely towards President Roosevelt, and gave some punches for the Republic Party at times. When he was engaged in these works, he had a feeling that he must do something deep during the war in the year 1942, and so, he began to draw posters on favor of Treasury Department; however, this work also did not extend for a long period of time. Further, he went and took part in the army force. Dr. Seuss also worked as a commander in the First Unit of Motion Picture and he started to write for films and movies

in opposition to the war, on the subject of peace and continued. It must be known that the Dr. Seuss had got many rewards for the appreciation of his creative and innovative work completed in the movies. After the war finished, Dr. Seuss began to write books for kids again, it was said that only at this time he wrote many great works. He spared his whole time to write for the kids, which amused them as they were simple, and without huge vocabularies. The delightful art for the stories reached the children faster and impressed too.
