OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, the pupils will be able to: A. describe the things found in the surroundings B. relate the importance of surroundings to people and to other living things C. demonstrate the practices that show care and concern for the living things and natural resources in your environment.

SUBJECT MATTER: A. Topic: Why Earth’s natural resources important B. Value Focus: understanding the value and relevance of surroundings and the living things C. Materials: visual aid, pen D. Reference: 21st Century Science and Health. K to 12 Curriculum Complaints. III. LEARNING PROCEDURE: A. Introduction a. Routinary Activities 1. Prayer 2. Greetings 3. Setting classroom environment b. Review 1. The teacher will have a review in her past lesson before she will proceed to her new topic, the teacher will ask some following questions: Why our earth’s have different natural resources? How to maintain the natural resources in our environment? c. Motivation: (“LEARNING STATIONS”) Divide the students into four groups, every groups will proceed to the `learning stations and observe the picture on the board. Every group will participate during activity. B. Interactions:
a. Presentation of the topic b. The teacher will ask some question to the students regarding to her topic. C. Integration a. Why is it that our natural resources are important in the surroundings? b. If ever our natural resources in the surroundings will be lack to the environment, what will happen to the animals? IV.
EVALUATION: 1. Which type of non-renewable resources that contains materials from dead organism that turn into substance? Answer: Soil 2. What type of earth’s natural resources that do not totally consumed when they are being used? Answer: Renewable resources 3-5. Give at least three renewable resources? Answer: animals, plant, sunlight

ASSIGNMENT: 1. Draw one natural resources in the Philippines.
