Passage 43 Afterwards the Assorinians imitated this bravery of the Agrigentorians, brave and faithful men, but in no way from such a large state. Chrysas was a river which flowed through the Assorian fields; it was held among them as a god - and great religion was cultivated. Their temple was in a field, alongside the road itself by which one goes from Assorum to Henna; in it was the statue of Chrysas, made very bright from marble. It did not dare to demand the defendant in this case from the Assorinians on account of their remarkable temple of religion; Tlelopemus gave and a matter of Hieronus. They during night, made with arms and weapons, broke down the temple; The soldiers felt it quickly; a signal was given by a trumpet, which was heard by the people of the neighbourhood; men gathered together from the fields; ---------------, nor in any way differently was the statue of Chrysas from the temple lost on account of part of it being bronse. Passage 28 Continued from Line 9 And an immense series of bad things also wears me out, it forces me to be old before my time. Peace nourishes the body; the mind suffers them too: Excessive work on the contrary weakens them both.
