Parents’ Matching Convocation #6 in Chicago, IL, July 25-27, 2008

May the blessings of God and True Parents be fully present with you during this busy summer season. We are pleased to announce the upcoming Parents’ Matching Convocation #6 to be held in Chicago, IL, at the Wyndham O'Hare Hotel, during the last weekend of July. Details are available on the Blessed Family Department website. Parents seeking opportunities to meet other parents with matching-age children or wanting to learn more about the matching process will want to register as soon as possible since spaces are limited to 120 people. This is the third of four Matching Convocations to be held in 2008. Another will also be held on the East Coast at the end of October. With several thousand Second Generation of matching age in America, these gatherings are invaluable to learn about the matching tradition and process, to net-work with other families, and to renew old friendships. The BFD has over 440 candidate photos and profiles to put on display. This Convocation happens in just 5 weeks so please announce it at the next opportunity in order to give parents ample time to plan their schedules and select the appropriate convocation for them. It is important that you announce this in your Sunday Church bulletins and on all your mailing lists. (See sample announcement below.) Please refer all parents to the Calendar of Events on the website of the Blessed Family Dept. for specific details of each event. Click on Reports to read reports of the five past Convocations, see pictures, download PowerPoint’s, read participant reflections, and hear recordings. Similar convocations are also being held in Japan and Korea, as well as in Europe. American parents may wish to participate in these as well or make their candidate profiles available. Get more informa-tion on these through the BFD. Please be sure your District and State BFD coordinators distribute the information to all those interested.
