HAND-MADE PAPER FROM NEPAL
his hand-made sun-dried paper is made from branches of the Daphne bush, locally known as ‘lokta’. The partial harvesting does not harm the plant, and some of the Daphne bushes have been supplying fiber for 200 years. The family that makes this paper has been producing traditional paper for generations. It is acid-free, soft, long lasting, non-tearing and insect proof (used by the Nepalese government to keep valuable records).
SMALL JOURNAL.
Single bodhi leaf on cover. 4” by 6”. Traditionally bound with rough lokta paper. Natural and navy, two tone grey, two tone brown. $6.
MINI BOOK.
Traditionally bound, 2.5” by 3”. Covers are block print lokta paper (lotus design etc), many lovely colours. Perfect for purse, pocket or beside the telephone. $3. Min of 10. Comes with free handmade paper display box.
